i found it completely forgettable and the service was so bad with the stupid mafia movie playing and the waiter came by like twice and we were drinking, that i gave the entire 24 percent tip directly to the busboy who actually came by and did shit

The steaks are good. But the real reason to show up is desert. They make 10 donuts when you order them and bring them out piping hot. Amazing shit. Their specialty is old Prohibition era cocktails if you're into that stuff.

Lotus of Siam has won national awards. It's in this giant, insane strip mall featuring a pool hall, a wig store, a mexican nightclub, a korean karaoke bar, and two sex clubs.
origin isnt terrible by the hard rock if you like indian
also i feel like you need to goto skyline casino or jokers wild get 99 cent frozen margaritas and play breakfeast keno with the locals
I am only mentioning this for you. I wouldn't take a girlfriend here unless we had been dating for over a year and a half.
This is a strip mall taco place near the Wynn, but they make it right in front of you. Real sugar Pepsi. Don't put your eyes on the cashier because her dad?/cook doesn't like it. Kind of a bad neighborhood(don't go at night) but I was never disappointed with the food.
La Costa
870 Sierra Drive
PS Not trying to say this is spectacular but is better value than paying 11$ for a turkey sandwich at the Wynn.
I went to Lotus of Siam and got the lunch buffet and thought it was substandard. But then a local told me I was doing it wrong and I should have ordered off the menu. If it's good food why should it matter if it was on the buffet or a la carte? I guess I might be willing to give it another try.
Then again Hong Kong is filled with one amazing Thai place after another so maybe my standards were too high.
Next time I'm in Vegas I'm thinking about doing a 1-day car rental and going down to Hoover Dam. Any good restaurants near there, or on the way from Vegas to the Dam? Anything else good to see on that road or in that area?
There is a cool micro brew/ restaurant in Boulder City.

Any one been to Piero's on Convention Center Drive?

Del frisco's is awesome for steak.
Raku grill is off strip I have had 2 memorable meals there. It is Japanese but not really a sushi joint but a japan style charcoal grill.
Todd's unique in Henderson is great, I have only been there once, had the short ribs and they were amazing.

Envy Steakhouse @ the Renaissance just south of LVH.
Also has a deal going on www.travelzoo.com : http://www.travelzoo.com/local-deals...The-Steakhouse
Alize @ the top of the Palms also has a travelzoo deal going: http://www.travelzoo.com/local-deals...t/120205/Alize
If you're gonna fuck dickgirls, you might as well impress the shit out of them first.
Also Fellini's at the Strat has a travelzoo promo. I consider this offstrip because it's so far out of the way but unlike the other 2 places I have not eaten here.

It's one of the oldest places still around, and you can tell. The scenes in Casino of DeNiro eating with Sharon Stone were filmed there because the real Lefty Rosenthal was a regular.
Del Friscos is super overrated and overpriced.
You ever eat at Honey Salt?
