I love it when people point to a country like Sweden, which has the population of New Mexico, and say "see it works there it can work here". LOL. There are 325 Million people in this country, half of which are fucking obese and broke. Most of these people generally die from diabetic shock or heart disease in their 50s. To know give them full access to the health care system, my God, they will be in the emergency room every other week and live to they are 90.

The beauty of all of this all, the health conscious liberals that supported Obama and worked the phone banks for free in 2012, will now see their health care costs triple. We'll see how they like that when they have to cancel their vacations.

Keeping with your theme, WHAT THE FUCK does online poker have to do with the title of this thread? When are you going to get it through your gay skull that online poker in the US is fucking dead?

Go back to trading Lennar stock.

My reply had to do with what I was quoting. Your reply had nothing to do with what you were quoting. Go back to being a 69'ing bottom.

I really don't understand anyone making over six figures supporting Democrats. I get the $40,000 a year bitter stiff jealous of the banker in a limo, that is part of life. Been happening since the beginning of time.

It's going to be hilarious when the saps supporting Obamacare see their premiums triple and they will be like WTF?

I personally don't give a shit. My biggest worry right now is what vacation destination I am going to New Years week.

This is a good simplified view of the situation that I saw today. Puts it into pretty easy to understand terms.

So a portion of one party in one house of Congress tries to blow everything up unless the President agrees to kill the centerpiece of his presidency, one of the only major things he campaigned on and maybe the only one he actually got done, passed into law, made its way through the Supreme Court and everything, one loud, defiant group grinds the entire business of the government to a halt and fucks with the lives of millions of people who depend on things that aren't there anymore because of the shutdown, ONE REALLY CLEAR GROUP WHO PRETTY MUCH CALLED THEIR SHOT ON THIS ONE, and people still try to shift the blame elsewhere?

Seriously, this isn't even close. If you actually believe, not just making the argument because its your team-believe, but REALLY BELIEVE that anyone but the tea party nuts and the head muckymuck Boehner are the overwhelming cause of this monstrous clusterfuck that is the shutdown, you are not a logical, intelligent person, and you need a serious re-check on how you view the world and how you get your information.

There is no question that the House Republicans are putting the barrier in place, but Obama and Reid could help to remove it through conciliation. My view is that if the ACA is the great piece of legislation that it is supposed to be then the Democrats would accept the budget without funding for the ACA included and then use it as there running platform for 2014 and 2016.

But that's retarded. It already passed. IT's a law now. Why pass a law, then agree to un-pass it and give it another shot in a few years? That's about the most backward thing in the world, and nobody in any party in any government anywhere would accept such an idea.

Can you justify your view in any half decent manner at all? Give it a shot, because I'd love to hear a defense of it. Like, I don't honestly believe you think that's a good idea, do you? As hard as it was to pass, you think they should now table their laws for a few, because conciliation or something? That's nonsensical in every single respect.

It's not retarded at all Crowe. The Republicans lost the fight when the bill was passed, but they still do not want it to be law. They do not have the votes needed to fully repeal the law so they are using the powers available to them under the Constitution to put off full implementation until the can repeal it. If what they are doing is retarded then the Constitution that gives them the powers must therefore be retarded. It doesn't matter if "YOU" like what they are doing or that "I" do not like the ACA because they are exercising the only means that they have to fight what they feel is an unjust and overreaching law.

I haven't followed this situation very closely, but my basic understanding is that the Democrats refused to accept funding to run the government. If that's the case, then they obviously are mostly to blame for this mess. Even if they feel that the Republican house is being unreasonable, it was ultimately the Dems' decision to let this happen.

You don't have to follow any US politics closely to know what is going on. There are two parties at war to be in control of where money is siphoned to. They are both responsible for the ginormous debt and every hilarious control war they engage in. One party says they are working for the great sky-wizard, the other one claims to be working for the people. The only interest either has is their own self interest and for those that paid to get them the glimpse of power they fumble with.

Your country is no where close to the greatness it once professed to be. Only thing to do is run out and buy another gun to prove to the rest of the world how free and great you are.
