Won an SB/BB hand with KQ to move up to 354k. 16 left. #pfa37
He's chip leader again. This might get streamed tomorrow with commentary and hole cards they aren't sure yet but bigger names will be at the $5k Limit FT over the $1500 NL Shootout so hopefully they pick the limit if Druff can get there that would be great.

Jeff Madsen just won the $3k PLO.

Five players out in just 30 minutes. Down to 13 and Druff chip leader.

Could potentially be Greg Mueller's 3rd FT of the series. He's gotten 3rd twice so far now.

Todd "Dandruff" Witteles Leads as 12 Advance to Day 3

What began with 170 players in Event #37: $5,000 Limit Hold'em of the 2013 World Series of Poker is now down to the final 12. After ten one-hour levels of play on Day 2, the returning 103 players battled it out to make the money at the top eighteen, and tomorrow they'll go for the $211,743 first-place prize. Todd "Dandruff" Witteles, who won a bracelet in the 2005 WSOP $3,000 Limit Hold'em for $347,385, is best positioned to make a run at the prize and the gold bracelet that comes with it.

That said, he is being chased by limit hold'em bracelet winner Ronnie Bardah and Greg "FBT" Mueller, who has two bracelets in limit hold'em and is looking to make his third final table of the summer!

The day began with a multitude of eliminations including those of Matt Matros, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Shawn Buchanan, Mike Leah, Ron Burke, Richard "nutsinho" Lyndaker, Jason Mercier and Joe Cassidy.

It was about that time that the money bubble rolled around. It happened in with 19 people left in Level 17 with the blinds at 4,000/8,000. What could have taken a long time was over relatively quickly as Danny Warchol was extremely short. He got his last 10,000 or so all in with Ah Jd but was unable to win a race against Witteles' 8c 8d.

    After Warchol hit the rail, the in-the-money eliminations began to mount. They included Brock Parker (18th - $11,337), David Chiu (17th - $11,337), Justin "Boosted J" Smith (16th - $11,337), Brent Wheeler (15th - $13,455), Vincent Gironda (14th - $13,455) and Bruno Fitoussi (13th - $13,455).

While many players fell on Day 2, a select few punched their ticket to Day 3 including Steve Landfish, Justin Bonomo, Michael Moore, Dom Denotaristefani, Gabriel Nassif and Ben Yu.

Wow, Jeff Madsen actually won a poker tournament.

    Is it 2006?

He's going to have a fun weekend, smoking crack+weed and fucking whores.

    Thanks for the support, everyone.

Of the 12 left, three are very short stacked, so barring an epic meltdown of all time, I will be at the final table.

You are all welcome to come down and rail me if you're in Vegas (it's in the Amazon room at the Rio), starting at 2pm.

Not sure how they will arrange the seating. If I only have a limited number of seats I can "assign", obviously close friends & family come first, but I would like to see as many of you as possible, and if you get there early enough, you can probably get a seat.

Still a lot of work left to do and poker left to be played. I have 442k, Ronnie Bardah is just a hair behind me (425k), and some guy named Michael Moore is also close with 387k. In addition, the stacks in the 200k range can easily chip up if they run well.

Will need another day like today to take this thing down.

Makes me feel good to see so many supportive tweets and texts.

This is my first time ever heading into a final day with a chiplead. In fact, until tonight, I had never finished a day #1 in chips at the WSOP with more days left to play.

See you guys at 2. The tweeting may be lessened because they might have a rule against using the phone at the final table.

Wow, sweet! I was busy, so I stopped following when there was still 45 left. It was great to wake up to tweets talking about almost being at the final table. I have 11% of Druff in this event (I think cmoney has 20%), so I could be taking home over $23k if/when Druff wins. I was surprised that there's not a thread about this event yet. I'd make it, but I don't want to jinx things.

I don't understand the payouts. 170 entrants @ $5000 a pop yet the prize pool states $799 000. Why isn't it the prize pool the full $850 000?

    http://www.pokernews.com/live-report...em/payouts.htm

Answer: They don't charge the juice on top of the listed price as in most tournaments:

4.2% of the total entry pool will be withheld for entry fees.
1.8% of the total entry pool will be withheld for tournament staff.
Last edited by Deal; 06-22-2013 at 05:36 AM. Reason: Do they really not add the rake on top of the listed buyin?

    The tournament isn't rake free.

GLGL Druff. They say it could be streamed with hole cards if so David Tuckman was butchering your name on the live broadcast when updating this event earlier today so you might want to tweet at him how to say it.

    Seriously?
I thought it was standard to have the buyin listed as $5000 + $600 and then call it a $5k during play for transparency.
