Recall that they've been knocked out on the first round in both 2022 and 2023, and haven't won a full season World Series since 1988, despite making the postseason every year since 2013 (and winning the division title every year except one).
The Padres are admittedly a tough team. They had the best record in MLB since the All Star Break.
Still, the Dodgers need to finally get past the NLDS and get the playoff choke monkey off their back.

Darvish being so good lately is such a wildcard. I know if I were going to bet the Dodgers Id parlay them with the over and if I liked SD I'd parlay with under. Yammy going to give up 3 or 4. Any game LA wins almost has to go over imo. I really don't have any gut feel though, so this is one I will just be watching.
It is wild that a healthy contingent of Dodger fans would prefer a bullpen game rather than have the highest paid pitcher in the history of the game pitch on regular rest.

Dave Roberts is the Los Angeles lightning rod. Bear in mind while matching the game that nearly nothing has been left to Dave Robert’s discretion. Who pitches, does Freeman play, who is at shortstop cetnter field or anything else. Those strings are pulled by the front office and analytics.
