Everyone think this shooting is justified or Murder??

This guy did society a huge favor by getting rid of these two budding young criminals. Its a shame he did it in this fashion though, now he will be sent to prison for the rest of his days and people will argue he should not have had the right to defend his property with lethal force.

Their car was found with prescription pills that had been stolen from another home in an earlier home burglary. Wonder if the owner of that house tried to kidnap them too, but as they broke free, they found some pills on the way out. Good luck finding a jury of 12 of this guy's peers that agree to convict him.

Here's my take on it. Either you have the right to use lethal force to protect yourself or your property or you don't.

Some people seem to take issue with his statements making it sound like he enjoyed killing these two. Well, guess what. The law doesn't stipulate that you can only use deadly force if you're remorseful about it after the fact. He might be a dick for what he said, but being a dick doesn't mean that killing intruders in your home was murder.

The fact is, if an intruder is in your home and you merely wound them, you have no idea what might still happen. They could still pull out a gun and kill you. You have no idea what that person may still be capable of, and killing or harming you is still a distinct possibility as long as they are still alive. They might be pretending to be more hurt than they are, and then you turn around to pick up the phone to call 911 and they shoot you in the back.

This guy will get his day in court, and will hopefully be acquitted, or at the very least, convicted of a charge lesser than 2nd degree murder.

I wasn't making an argument about the letter of the law. I was sharing my opinion on how I think it should be. Op asked if it was Justified and although the law may not see it that way I believe it was. And to Srsly, yes, anything.

listen, if the guy shot a lot of times in the heat of the moment i would have no problem with it. The fact is he went too far with "defense", after the first shots he knew they were no longer a threat. He should have just called the police and went outside to wait for them to collect the bodies.
