Jim Murren, CEO of MGM Resorts International, offered a few choice comments today on the subject of daily fantasy sports at a media briefing in Washington D.C..

Professional sports representatives who consider DFS to something other than gambling are “absolutely, utterly wrong,” said Murren.

Murren’s comments were reported by Steve Tetreault of the LVRJ.

“I don’t know how to run a football team but I do know how to run a casino, and this is gambling,” Murren added.

DraftKings main office is in my hometown of Boston. I am not even sure if its legal in my state.

Does make you wonder what legal loophole that protects DFS from the State exists that makes it different from poker/craps/etc.

I do know its considered somewhat of a derivative and that DFS sites can't have bets for just one game (for example, the Super Bowl).
