This guy always pissed me off and I'm glad they finally got him. He actually rose to a fairly high rank in al-Qaeda, and while he wasn't near the top, he was nicknamed "Azzam the American", and was used to encourage Muslims in the US to commit acts of terrorism on our home soil.
He was very arrogant and unlikable in his videos. He repeatedly praised any kind of terrorist act or mass-murder in the US.
It was announced today that Gadahn and one other American terrorist were killed in separate operations.
This guy was actually born a Jew. He was born Adam Pearlman, but his parents were idiot hippies, changed the family's name to Gadahn, and basically didn't discipline him as a child. Eventually he converted to Islam at age 16, and his parents ignored his increasing radicalization, believing that they were simply being tolerant of religious freedom.
At age 19 he even assaulted his former Islamic mentor for being "too friendly with Jews".
