Chris Christie if elected will enforce federal law on legal marijuana states

Always a good idea to go into an election on the wrong side of a hot button topic...

My guess is this is simply carrying Sheldon's water. Both Adelson's sons were junkies. One is dead and no one knows where the other one is. Adelson is huge on marijuana as a gateway drug that led to their demise and he funds much of the pushback against marijuana, so I took this as Christie sticking his hand out. He may believe it, but no one goes on record with this position in this climate unless he's begging for a big fat Sheldon check.

This + needs to gain traction with the Christian set to have a shot at a nomination = this bullshit.

Can't believe this didn't occur to me before. I think you are 100% spot on.

That said, this does fall in line with his previous stance on medical marijuana. He has blocked it in a big way from happening in NJ.

I find it highly ironic that a guy that obviously can't control his diet and has been a gluttonous fuck for the majority of his adult life feels that he should protect people from this "gateway drug". Maybe he should campaign against sugar instead as obviously that was his gateway to becoming such a fat mess. Even more ironic, while it's been proven time and time again that marijuana is NOT a gateway drug, it has been proven that over 90% of heroin addicts start out addicted to legally prescribed opiates. If they're so concerned with gateway drugs, why aren't these politicians going after the big pharma companies pushing that shit? Obviously we all know the answer why. THAT is what killed good ol' Shelly's kid BTW, but he somehow blames that on marijuana. Meanwhile this asshole single handedly kept people in Florida from having the option to use medical marijuana, and if there truly is one state in the country with an over abundance of old people that could benefit from this, it's Florida. Dude literally has blood and suffering on his hands from my POV.

They both truly are scumbags deserving of one another.

I seem to remember Hilary as espousing fairly conservative positions on some issues. I thought she toed the line on marijuana in the last campaign.

This is the best I can find quickly.

She's been very careful not to fall to the legalization side while at the same time not saying she would go after states that allowed it. She always pulls the "research" angle...

"I'm a big believer in acquiring evidence, and I think we should see what kind of results we get, both from medical marijuana and from recreational marijuana, before we make any far-reaching conclusions," Clinton told KPCC in July. "We need more studies. We need more evidence. And then we can proceed."

She also had a good laugh about it while in CO recently.

The only GOPer who has a shot against the Clinton machine is Rand Paul and his stock is fading. Hopefully a good outside candidate comes along. Maybe John Stewart is retiring from the daily show to take a shot at it? One can hope. I would much rather vote for a presidential candidate who has never been in elected office than one of the many liars who guzzle billionaire semen.

Rand Paul is quit the opposite. He is hitting his stride. All the progressive journalists and wasserman Shultz want no piece of him. Instead of conservative candidates getting fact check on every little thing and democratic candidates generally get a slide with absolutely no fact checking. Have we already forgotten Obama,s election.. Rand Paul gave it back to them and put the discrepancy on the front burner for everyone to see. Even in the way they pose the questions. His stock has gone up. Even the more level headed non zealot democrats admit so called journalists have gone to far trying to ambush conservative candidates and not even asking polite follow up questions to the democrats.

If the election were held today Scott walker and Rubio would win by one point. Rand Paul would win by 2 and Ted Cruz is only behind by 1. If they run another fake republican like Jeb we would lose by 10. That's what everybody has been saying for years and the media white washes it. It's the so called moderates that are unelectable. And the word compromise is only used when republican,s give in too democrats but when democrats fight republicans that's called being "principled" but not visa versa.. at least rand paul is bringing that to light were the biased has been ignored.. I'm starting to feel conservatively optimistic. No pun intended :-)
