Holy shit. Just got the creeps when they said he did the alphabet backwards. I did that for first grade show and tell. people used to ask me to do it all the time. I hadn't thought about it in a long time. Ive never heard of anyone else in all my life claiming that as a talent.
Edit: made that post before listening. He actually butchered it some where in the srqpomnl range. Then again something at end didn't sound right. Then he just stopped at a. Without saying "now I know my z y x's after winning jeopardy i'll take a trip to texas" or playing jeopardy with me is like getting hit in the solar plexus or something... you can't have such a weird talent and then butcher it and not throw in a closing line.

Last night it was like a great heavyweight fight, trading blow for blow into the 12th rd. So many lead changes, this Becky chick did not come to fuck around, she was on a mission. They were both dog tired hanging on but Alex found the last bit of strength he had to land the knockout punch in the last round. It was amazing.
I mean basically tied with it all on the line how much do you bet? How much will she bet? Better get it right or it is over. The pressure had to be unbearable but he pulled it together and got the W in a Final Jeopardy thriller.
Alex is deploying a similar strategy (game theory) that Arthur Chu (he won 12 times in a row, $297K) did last year.
And of course, Ken Jennings, who a decade ago set a Jeopardy record with 74 consecutive victories while winning $2.5 million.

I would nearly guarantee he is own his own.
The dollar jammed huge this past year and the other world currencies have been really wild. Cole is so smart he probably not only has learned chart patterns and the math but understands all the geopolitics etc.
Currency markets were typically really dull but this has been like the dot com era or the poker boom.
I had no idea this Jennings guy ran 74 straight. Tell ya I will never watch Jeopardy again after Cole's run.
Drex said he might get Alex Cole on radio. The stories and reminiscing would be gold.
