Damn they lied and mislabeled it so it was only the show from 4/13.
I caught the end tonight that is all I can say about it but I've enjoyed this show for the first time in a while.

If Alex Jacob makes a big run on Jeopardy, he needs to bring back the A-FRO.
So it looks like he is employing a hyperaggro Jeopardy strategy, which works as long as you get the questions right. I assume he goes aggro on the daily doubles if he likes the subject.
From what we've seen so far, it's working.

The tweets are pretty surreal. They were people tweeting about how the whole family gathered around the tv tonight to root him on, how people had waited all day for him, people saying it was the happiest day of there life when alex followed them back on twitter lol.
Alex just started a twitter account. He was never a social media guy. He tweeted that he thought it was polite and proper etiquette to follow someone back after they follwed him lol
I wonder if this is a true internet "alex jeopardy craze" or is this common when someone wins a couple in a row by a large margin and they have a non stoic personality.
Ok now I'll pose this question, although I think I know the answer. If I could find out if A) how long he continues to win for or B) find out without specifics if he makes a decent run, would anyone want to know?
He said the episodes we are watching now were filmed back in February. He also said he auditioned in the summer of 2013 and didn't get a call to come on the show until December of 2014 with no contact from them in between.
Another thing I found interesting, forgive me if I posted this before, he said that on the first game he answered "stucco" to a question. The correct answer was plaster. But he said when he gave his answer they stopped the tape and it took 20 minutes or so for the ruling on his answer. He said the executive producer came up to him and informed him that they would not accept it.
If you watch it in real time, he gives his answer, there is a pause, they cut back to Alex and he says the answer is incorrect. I found that interesting as I always assumed but didn't know for sure what the process was when they deducted money after determining the answer was unacceptable and vice versa.

The specific part about wondering how long judges take on the obvious non snap judgements they make look like snap judgements on the TV Broadcast.

Ya now that I think of it , the daily doubles do tend to show up mid to high so board jumping is 100 % the correct play
I think the assumption is that it's less likely that the daily double will be in the $100 position. By going randomly and picking items higher up:
1. You get more money faster which means you can wager more money when the daily double comes up.
2. You leave less money on the board in case the round ends before the board is complete.
The jumping strategy is pretty much the best way to get an edge when controlling the board. Also seems like alex is very strong in literature trivia in which he has gotten two big daily doubles. Hope he gets at least two more wins to lock up a tournament of champions entry.
it's just kind of funny that these people that are on here keep going back to $200 and working their way up , you would think that after watching this game for years they would have figured out to jump around

That was fucking cringeworthy; reminded me of mike Tyson in his prime - knocking out cans. One dude was literally still hungover after being at a bachelor party the NIGHT before, and the old lady was clearly suffering from early onset Alzheimer's.
Oh and "Alex" has the personality of a wall. Standard semi-autistic poker dork.
Holy shit.....I won't really comment to spoil it but the episode tonight is a must watch. Insane.
