    Carbon Poker Slowdown Concerns Players

    http://professionalrakeback.com/carb...ncerns-players

Over the past 2 months players have seen their cash outs via check slowed from around a 3 week average to a 6 to 8 week average. This has caused some players to become worried as many have been bitten by shady or untrustworthy sites in the past and are scared that could be happening again. For those players, there is a fairly bright silver lining to this situation though that hasn’t been present with other sites such as Lock Poker. Rest of world cash outs are still are still taking a short amount of time. When Lock Poker stopped playing players getting a cash out via even Skrill would take over a month, but that has yet to be the case with Carbon Poker.
The thing is: can these sites take on a huge "stress-test" shock (like the DOJ busting them up or whatever)? I doubt they can.

Curacao eGaming is the operator of Carbon:

    http://validate.cyberluck.com/valida...b-37330a00002a

George Praag is the operator/owner of Curacao eGaming. He is an experienced money launderer.

-> the money is stolen and laundered long time ago!

Important to note that the "professionalrakeback" site link from the OP is a big affiliate for Merge/Carbon. So you're not going to get unbiased reporting from there. It is run by PFA user "HowQuaint".

Nothing against the guy, but let's just say that he likes to find a way to spin things in a more favorable light when it comes to Carbon/Merge.

Anyway, they are currently claiming that the processing delays were caused by people betting heavily on the Superbowl, and then immediately withdrawing their winnings, thus backlogging their processors.

Sounds like bullshit to me. It's one of those things that is impossible to disprove, but it really sounds far fetched.

How many times have you withdrawn funds immediately after winning a single sportsbet, especially knowing what a pain in the ass it is these days to deposit money on these sites? While I believe that they may have had a slight bump in withdrawals around Superbowl time, I don't believe it caused the massive cashout delays that we're currently seeing (now about 2 months running).

It could be a temporary payment processor issue, or it could be that Merge/Carbon is broke or cash-poor. Either way, I would stay away from that network right now.

On an unrelated note, the fixed limit games have died, as they have introduced a peculiar 3/4 or 4/5 blind structure, which everyone hates. That means a 15-30 limit holdem game now has blinds of 12-15. Awful. That's like reinventing the wheel into a rectangle.

Something about having a sattelite depositers promo for 250k tournament they just canceled. Unsure of all the details though. Simp dog beat me to it but other factors then just canceling the tournament. Depositing bonuses to satty into a tournament then canceling is pretty damn shady.

There is no issue with the payment processor SKrill. Therefor, the only reason to not process Skrill payments is, they simply donīt have the money!

Beside of this, George Praag is an expert for international money transfers around the world. Why would it take so long for him to give you your money?

On a side note. Has anyone of you a credit contract with Praag? If not, I suggest to ask for your hole balance to be withdrawn or pick it up, whereever they have it.

Used to get rake back from Raketherake.com

Got an email for $500 freeroll yesterday. They said they only had 22 people play it the week before and are considering canceling the freeroll arrangement with Carbon due to a complete lack of interest.

    I wasn't interested either.

    Can't give it away.

On the other side I look at ACR & Full Flush and their are like 1000 people battling for a top prize of $4.

    Just how dead is Carbon?

Edit: my memory of that site was the same solid crew kicking the shit out of each other every night.
LTUFlawless, Playingwithnada, Kevmath - all of China's bro's. All great guys but absolutely zero recreational players.

Carbon: I requested a check on Jan 23 and got a message March 12 that it was in the mail. It came FedEx a couple days later. I consider that "running good" at this point.

Not sure why as it's obviously an error but I saw Merge way down at #68 on Pokerscout and Bovada is now up to #3.

My cash out arrived today on Skrill, waited a month as an European, but ok

Maybe it was the Superbowl traffic, who knows...

Carbon still ok for me, always received the monies.

I'm reading that Skrill is no longer an option for ROW players.

The ship is sinking hard on this network and it's a bit surprising since they have been around a while always paying eventually.

Merge Gaming Players Concerned About Slow Payouts and Loss of Skrill

    Skrill Withdrawal Option Dropped

Skrill is no longer a withdrawal option at Merge Gaming. Players with pending Skrill withdrawals were contacted this week by the network. They were told that the pending withdrawal would have to be requested again. The only cashout option offered to these players is bank wire. It is unclear if this decision was made by Merge Gaming or Skrill.

    Loss of Skrill a Tell?

Skrill has been known to drop merchants that were not processing payments in a timely manner. In 2011, when Skrill was known as Moneybookers, the ewallet stopped processing payments for Absolute Poker and Full Tilt. Both sites were indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice on Black Friday. That was not when Moneybookers dropped the two sites as customers. It took player complaints and action by Moneybookers in subsequent months for the ewallet to withdraw its service from these sites.

Full Tilt was dropped as a client by Moneybookers about 24 hours before the site lost its interactive gaming license in Alderney. Absolute Poker, which also did business as UB at the time, lost its ability to process payments through Moneybookers while it was still operating.

Both sites eventually failed. Full Tilt players were bailed out by PokerStars. Absolute Poker and UB players were stiffed.

Skrill stopped processing deposits for Lock Poker in November 2013. At that point, some U.S. players had been waiting one year for withdrawals. Payments to players outside the U.S. were months behind.

Skrill allowed Lock Poker to process withdrawals through its system, though none were ever made after the deposit option was dropped. Lock Poker shuttered on April 17. It had not made a payment to any player in over one year when it ceased operations.

Interestingly though, Merge is still accepting Skrill deposits. Customers are also being told 10 days after the requested skrill cashouts that this is no longer an option. Obvious stalling and slow pay tactics. After Lock it looks like people are abandoning the site much quicker. Lot of people seem to have high balance accounts on Merge. Hope they all get paid.

From what I've been reading on 2+2 it looks like Carbon has processed quite a few checks from cashouts as far back as late February to even batches done in early April. So this is at least somewhat of a positive sign of progress moving forward. We'll see...

Checks are always funny. They get to the processing stage then it still takes 6 to 8 weeks to get them.

I'll just be happy with taking my bitcoin and debit card withdrawls on ACR even though I have to apply for a new card because one of the two merchants they were using they aren't anymore but for now bitcoin working just fine and quick.
