I always find it interesting when someone says "you can't trust the science" as if there is some legitimate alternative in medicine.

The other obvious red flag is nobody who actually studies this stuff ever uses the term "science". It's just a dumbed down word used for the public. What they are really talking about is empirical evidence, literature reviews, or even effect sizes.

The knowledge base is always expanding as anyone who's taken a research methods intro course should understand. Anyone who states "well we thought this last year and don't think this now" clearly doesn't understand that this is the exact point of "science". The knowledge body is not static.

I'm not even gonna get into the fact that vaccine skepticism is rooted in second wave feminism.

Regardless of where anyone stands on COVID, it's insane to think that Joe Rogan's show should be censored, because he has guests who present an alternate point of view regarding the current COVID narrative.

Much like the issue of Gofundme trying to steal $8 million aimed at supporting the Ottawa truckers, this shouldn't be a debate, no matter what side you're on. Censorship of alternate points of view is always wrong, just as scamming/stealing is always wrong. Politics shouldn't matter.

I don't agree with some of the COVID takes by Rogan's guests, but I would never want them denied the ability to speak if Joe wants them on his show.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is requiring all registered casino, lottery and igaming operators to stop offering and accepting wagers on Ultimate Fighting Championship events.

That comes after the commission says it learned of recent alleged incidents involving possible betting by UFC insiders, as well as reports of suspicious betting patterns in other jurisdictions.

Is this big news? Have I missed something?
