Van Halen were vastly superior musicians.

    AC/DC rocked harder.

I was into AC/DC long before I had ever heard of Eddie V and the boys. No human on earth rocks harder than Angus.

Not a dilemma for me, Aerosmith kicks the living shit out of posers like Van Haley and AC.BC.

I barely had to look to find three of Aerosmiths's songs that are legendary.
They especially make that Aussie band look like amateurs.

BTW what's up with the youtube changes, omg

this is a nail biter.....too close to call really

but I'm gonna have to lean towards AC/DC

    definitely more of an edge

as much as I love David Lee...(Sammy too).....Van Halen is fucking incredible......but I'm thinking when push comes to shove......AC/DC comes out on top

spent the last 3 days thinking about this and jamming to multiple albums from both camps

AC/DC comes a lot harder imo

    its still really close though

David Lee arguably the greatest front-man in rock and roll history

Your life must be awesome if this is a real dilemma for you.

What if you come to a point in your life like me and are pondering kicking the bucket and questioning what exactly happens when you die when your soul is quite obviously responsible for n-wording so many.

Does it get better? Does it get worse? To me that's a fucking dilemma. What if you get to the same point and you want to tell your friends about it and are searching for the perfect word but you remember rendering an excellent word like dilemma impotent arguing about who your favorite man that sings is.

If AC/DC retired after they did Back in Black, I wouldn't mourn the loss.

Just about everything they've done for years sounds the same.
Their early stuff was stellar. The later stuff wasn't bad... just blah.

Am I right in saying that ACDC were pretty much unknown in the US during the Bon Scott years and really only hit it big with Back in Black?

Not really. They were getting ready to blow up huge in the US with Highway to Hell. It peaked at 17 on the Billboard top 200.

I barely recognize Eddie. Last I saw him, he was a raging alcoholic and all his teeth had rotted out. He looks healthy now.

If Aerosmith ain't in the conversation then you must be talking about those groups influenced by the Bay City Rollers.

This would take up too much effort, but I would hypothetically go toe to toe, comparing the number of Aerosmith "hits" with any other American band's discography.

Looks like I'm entering into unknown waters once again.

Sorry Tone, Social Distortion has already been disqualified.
