    Official NFL Free Agent Thread

Where are the top free agents going to sign? I've compiled a list of the most notable free agents with my early predictions.

    Matt Flynn - Miami
    Alex Smith - SF?
    Vincent Jackson - Chicago?
    Marquez Colston - Saints?
    Mario Williams - ?
    Peyton Manning? - Washington? Miami?
Reggie Wayne - Where ever Peyton goes imo.

What are you looking for your team in free agency?

I'm hoping my beloved Seattle Seahawks can somehow land Mario Williams. We are in desperate need of a pass rusher. I think there is a chance, don't know what kind of chance but Paul Allen has a reputation of throwing money around, usually to the wrong players....

do you think the Ravens resign OG Ben Grubbs?

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/1...best-available

13.Ben Grubbs, Baltimore OG: It looks like a good year for guards in the draft, and there are a few guards in free agency who will compete against Grubbs for a deal.

Almost certain the Niners will resign Alex Smith. It's pretty much the only option they have.

Agreed. Plus I doubt Smith will be highly sought after by another team.

I mean it is possible, but I don't think Peyton has it in him to play for such a shitty franchise at this stage in his career.

Quite a few national pundits disagree with you. The Chiefs have the cap space, the ancillary talent (Bowe, Charles, Baldwin, Breaston, a stout D), and a history of signing aging HOF QBs (Montana anyone?).

True. And as many chances as they gave his ass, he should be more than willing to stick around without asking for more than he's worth.

I don't know, man. I don't think the Chiefs are really THAT bad. I mean, they won the AFC West 2 years ago. They had a poor season this year, but they also were without Moeaki, and Jamaal Charles for basically the entire year.

I will say that with Peyton and most likely Reggie Wayne on that team they are a playoff team. Mostly because the AFC West is god awful though. That would be very interesting.

If I were a Chiefs fan I don't think I would be interested in Peyton Manning. One shot could end his career and set the Chiefs back a few years.

Plus, I don't think Cassel is that bad.

If Peyton goes to KC Reggie Wayne is not a package deal. The Chiefs already have Bowe, #1 pic Baldwin, Steve Breaston, Tony Moeaki, Jamaal Charles, etc. There is no need for an aging Reggie Wayne.

The Chiefs may be a very good team. They won the AFC West a few years ago and would have done the same thing if they dont lose their best offensive player week 2, best defensive player week 1 (Eric Berry) and the starting TE preseason (Moeaki) as well as the starting QB mid season. Throw in the fact that Haley seemingly was losing on purpose many times and the Chiefs 2011 season was doomed. Put Peyton on this roster with Crennel coaching in 2012 and its a legit Super Bowl contender. They already have a better D then any team Peyton has ever played on!

And your last paragraph is an oxymoron. If Cassel isnt too bad, how does signing Manning and having Cassel as a backup set them back if Peyton gets hurt? Just put Cassel back in and they are in the same boat. The money they paid too Manning is inconsequential as they wont be spending it otherwise!

A good friend of mine is a huge KC fan. He about wets himself anytime we talk about Peyton possibly going there.

I just keep going to back to how much money they would have to give up to get him, and as you say, one good shot could be all she wrote for him. We have no idea how he's going to come back from this injury.

I don't think Cassel is that bad, either. He's not going to throw for 5000 yards, but he's also not going to turn the ball over much. If Jamaal Charles is healthy, I think they can be just fine with Cassel. And Tony Moeaki is a beast. Guy has athletic talent through the roof. If he stays healthy, he's another damn good target for whoever ends up at QB there.

No way they could pay Luck & Manning, the only question now is where does he land? Does Reggie Wayne follow him?
