Not that anyone expects a senseless murderer to be in the least bit sane, but one killer in New Orleans took depraved behavior to an even more disgusting level, with a foul display of psychotic actions that left many witnesses gagging.

Bryan Schwartz, 27, was in Judge Henry Sullivan’s courtroom Thursday to face the music on having intentionally beaten to death his girlfriend’s 56-year-old mother in her own home. While chained to other inmates in the jury box, Schwartz defecated in his jail-issued jumpsuit, reached down his pants to grab the steamy pile of feces, then spread the human waste all over his face, covering every inch except for his eyes. He then had something very special to say to all in attendance that disgusting day, as he was paraded in front of the crowd wearing his fecal matter mask.

Bearing a big grin, Schwartz announced, “Life is like a box of chocolates,” the Sun Herald reported. The killer was quickly removed from the courtroom, still maniacally smiling from ear-to-ear, coated in his own bowel movement.

“As he walked out, he was just smiling at the crowd,” a witness said. Another described the deplorable stench permeating from the courtroom as she walked past Schwartz and the inmates who were part of the chain gang.

Schwartz’ attorney, Marquita Naquin, would not comment on her client’s disgusting act, and it has yet to be determined whether he suffers from mental illness. But if nothing else, his crime would certainly indicated he’s a couple cards short of a full deck. Schwartz and his girlfriend, 35-year-old Misty Eiremann, have been charged with second-degree murder in the beating death of Eiremann’s mother, Mary Romano. She was found bludgeoned to death with a flashlight in her home on September 9, 2014.

It’s fair to say that Schwartz was having a pretty “crappy” day and maybe this was a sick and twisted ploy to get an insanity plea. But the fact that he pulled this stunt, while attached to other inmates he has to face back in his cell block, just sealed his fate of being the recipient of some jailhouse justice.
