    Bovada Check Issue

Just got this email from Bovada.

    Dear XXXXXX,

We're contacting you about your payout of $850.00 that was processed on Feb 02 with the Reference Number XXXXXXXXX.

We have been informed that due to a printing error, the check we sent you is no longer valid. Please discard the check if you have not yet taken it to your financial institution as we have now credited the original amount back to your Bovada account.

We apologize for this inconvenience and we will cover any fees you incurred in the event that you already deposited the check.

Should you wish to request a new payout or if you have any questions, please contact customer service.

    Best Regards,

    Bovada Customer Service

I cashed this check Feb. 4th and it cleared 3 days later. Bovada just credited my poker account the $850. My question is. can a check bounce after it clears my bank? I checked my bank account and everything looks good there. The $850 was not taken back out of my bank account.

Yes it can bounce. If you have a good standing with your bank they will credit the money often before the check technically "clears"

99.9% the answer is yes, imo.

I've heard of people having bovada checks "clear" and then two months later having an issue. I've always wondered about that and hope it doesn't happen to me.

GL but I'd plan on the $850 coming back out of your bank account fairly soon.

    LOL printing error

In other words, their processor got busted or ran off with the money.

Anyway, they will make good on it.

Deposit: Credit, MG, WU, Bitcoin, and a few other things I believe.

Withdrawl: Check, Bitcoin, MG, WU, and a Debit Card option they have available too which has some small fees but you get paid very quick.

Is this an East Coast check? I do hear checks cut to other parts of the country fail from time to time.

East coast always comes quick and clear quick for me, consistent with what I have heard from other payout forums.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

For deposit I generally use one of those prepaid green dot cards I've also used credit card and debit card. I used w.u. once. The few occasions I actual made a withdrawal, was done by check. One free check a month. Comes in about 7 days.

Bovada now has an option to credit your Visa card for payouts. Has anyone done this? If so, did it work well?
