Add an attachment picture to a post, you can see it ok. Reply to the thread and the quote shows "Attachment nnnnn"

So the problem would be attachments not posting as attachments in threads other than where they are originally posted, yes?

Well that one is in the same thread, but it is over the page from the original. So that could be the problem.

So you cant see the attachment in the post you linked to? I can see it in the quote, and in simpdog's re-quote. I would not see it if I quoted it in this thread.

No I can't. How many posts do you have per page? I have it set to 20 so that post is at the top of p34 of the thread

Boom. Nailed it. If I change my settings to 40 messages per page the attachments show up.

So in summary if there is an attachment that is quoted in a reply, and that reply is over the page from the original post, then it shows at "Attachment xxxxx" rather than showing the image.

Interesting. This might be a tough one to fix.

I think there are some other issues with attachments. I wish attachments would just always show inline regardless of what thread they're from (or who they belong to), but vBulletin doesn't work that way.

I could probably track it down and fix it, but vBulletin code is SO hard to follow, and they give no support for that because they don't want you modifying the code itself.

Earlier I posted a picture and youtube video in the Adrian Gonzalez thread.

The video was OK but the picture posted as ATTACHMENT XXXXX

I had just downloaded the picture.

Went into the FireFox download arrow, opened the picture I had downloaded, it was OK, closed it then went back to my post and it was OK as well.
