Brother did you ever play the WSOP?

Brother I’m not even sure if you were a poker player or not. I know you’re a legend over at sherdog pal. Always great to hear from you

Most of the OG members here played poker seriously. Poker is now a metaphor

i played a few wsop's back when it was kind of a social watering hole for all the NWP depravniks.

lived in vegas for a couple of years much later.

had a lot of familiar names from this community over for poker and chili nights in LA too.

i no longer play, i was never really profitable and i started to care about that more than i should have.

but i was just thinking the other day how much i want to host a regular 10/20 stud game someplace. mostly because i love 10/20 stud.

How much is a buy in for 10/20 stud? Only time I ever played stud was some micro stakes game on full tilt where I played every hand and got lucky while trolling the chat box

I am beginning to have my doubts about brother Pipes,

still respect the content and the schtick…I’m a fan

    but listen pal…

commitments for wsop action were made that remain unfulfilled

great account even though it appears that 99% of it is total horseshit

    don’t change a thing brother

i mean, some people can sit in a 20/40 lhe game with one rack and be comfortable, god bless them. me being me id rather have at least 2 racks in front of me and if i was doing it these days id want 4 racks / $2000.

so for 10/20 id want a grand worth of red chips in front of me.

thats just me. the B&Ms let people buy into 20/40 games with like $200 but every time someone did that at my table i was like i get it but im glad i dont live like that.

i like 10/20 lhe and stud and o8, thats just my psychological comfort zone, it always has been. hard to find but a real pleasure to play. never saw any 10/20 games in vegas tho and in cali all the casinos spread 6/12 or 12/24, both of which i found kinda tedious; iirc the extra chips somehow meant more rake.

vegas had and i assume still has a lot of 20/40 limit games spread. bellagio had a great 20/40 stud game that had incredible action the few times i lurked it.

if anyone knows any 10/20 limit games still spread in vegas id love to know about it.

Ftr Pokerstars more specifically the Scheinbergs perma destroyed online poker by sucking all the money out of the poker economy.
Billions and billions and billions of dollars gone and not one penny coming back.

People are blind to this, oh it's just business. If we could go back in time and have Full Tilt and Ultimate Bet in place of Pokerstars there'd still be a juicy poker economy.
It was pretty funny how they got Negreanu to be the face of raising rake while not one person mentions the billions and billions siphoned off by the Scheinbergs.
The transfer to Baazov was billions and billions more perma gone.

You cant fucking be serious Entropy.. For fucks sake FTP was a damn ponzi scheme that wouldve imploded on itself probably not much further past Black Friday with what was going on. UB?? roflmao.. It was a shit show being run by a thief in Russ Hamilton who was literally cheating on his own site as a super user.. Please tell me this is a joke.. Pokerstars was the ONLY site being run above board man.

And for the record Obama and that little dot headed fucker Preet Bahara killed Online poker when they cut off the US Market from ROW for online poker and the fucking greedy fucking politicans cant get their shit together along with the various Indian tribes especially in Cali to get it fixed 12 damn years later. Online poker is doing just fine outside of the USA for the record if it wasnt PS and GG wouldnt be doing the business they are.
