    Love dogs me. Had two in my time and sobbed like a bitch when they both got old/sick and died... It's fucking scary how close a bond we build up with these four legged mutts.

    It's been my position that with the massive amount of selective breeding with dogs, chosen for looks, companionship, specific task handling and ability to communicate that empathy is just a natural progression of that. We have accelerated the evolution of a species at a monumental rate and it wouldn't surprise me at all that dogs will be the first non-humans to be able to converse verbally with a human being.
