Like I get it, I like blue cheese, I'm not trying to talk shit about blue cheese, this isnt that sort of thread.
But seriously who the fuck picks blue cheese over a fine, herbed brie?
Brie master race thread.

I have to come down on the yes side because who the fuck rated it in the first place?
And then to see how it's made.......
The only appropriate dip for wings is resignation with a hint of despair.

For lunch today I had Saganaki with a really good, tangy sheep's milk cheese. You put that shit in some pita bread and make a bomb ass Greek grilled cheese sandwich.
And yes, Blue Cheese is totally overrated. It smells like feet. But truffles also kind of smell like feet and I love those.
The genesis of Blue Cheese
Roquefort tastes like licking a cave wall.
I find cheese disgusting at all times except when eating it. This particularly true of blue cheese.
Blue Cheese owns your gook face. Roaring 40's specifically.
Yeah, the blue part is to let you know you bought something 6-8 months ago.
i do this with bread but only to challenge any disease.

Oh god. I've always known that cheese is gross and made from mold and bacteria, but...
Brevibacterium is a genus of bacteria of the order Actinomycetales. They are Gram-positive soil organisms. It is the sole genus in the family Brevibacteriaceae.
Note: Brevibacterium stationis may now be re-classified as Corynebacterium stationis.[1]
Brevibacterium linens is ubiquitously present on the human skin, where it causes foot odor. The familiar odor is due to sulphur containing compounds known as S-methyl thioesters. The same bacterium is also employed to ferment several cheeses such as Munster, Limburger, Port-du-Salut, Raclette and Năsal. Its aroma also attracts mosquitoes.[2]Ugh. I kind of want to swear off all cheese. The characteristic flavour of blue cheeses tends to be sharp and salty. The smell of this food is due both to the mould and to types of bacteria encouraged to grow on the cheese: for example, the bacterium Brevibacterium linens is responsible for the smell of many blue cheeses

"Ah, butter. The old-fashioned fat. The perfect partner for a baked potato. My misunderstood friend. It’s creamy, flavorful, and downright delicious on toast. But is butter healthy?I started out writing a post on why butter is healthy, and quickly realized the merits of butter are so far-reaching it will take more than one post to even begin to delve into this controversial subject. After all, most of us have been told for decades that butter belongs on the top of the “do not eat” list. It takes more than one simple blog post to undo years of USDA propaganda.
Is Butter Healthy? Butyric Acid Benefits
So today I want to start by addressing butyric acid (also known as butyrate). Butter is the richest dietary source of butyric acid (3-4%), a short-chain fatty acid which is proving to be highly beneficial.
Butyric Acid and Metabolic Health
A very interesting study demonstrated the benefits of butyric acid in mice. Researchers found that feeding these mice butryic acid could reverse several harmful metabolic affects. The mice who received butyric acid in their diet were leaner and did not have a tendency to overeat. They also had lower cholesterol, triglyceride and fasting insulin levels–all pointing to better metabolic health and a decreased risk of developing metabolic syndrome.
Butyric Acid and Gut Health
The gut actually uses butyric acid as an energy source. Butyric acid has been shown to benefit those with gut disorders like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. That’s because this short-chain fatty acid helps restore the integrity of the gut lining while also reducing inflammation.
Butyric Acid and Cancer
Studies have demonstrated that butyric acid has the ability to cause cancer cells to mature into normal cells. This is a unique property, since most anti-cancer substances either kill the cancer cell or cause it to kill itself. Butyric acid, however, appears to preserve the life of the cell by normalizing its function.
Is Butter Healthy?
In the end, the degree of health-giving properties in any given food is dependent upon an individual’s tolerance or dietary needs. In other words, your mileage may vary. But after today’s post and as we continue to explore butter’s health benefits, I hope that we can end the tyrade on this traditional fat and learn to appreciate what butter has to offer."
