I am taking advice and am going to do some travel nursing after my kid graduates in May. Of the many locations to choose am considering the following.

Napa, California

Honolulu, Hawaii
Augusta, Georgia
Beverly, Massachusetts
Phoenix, Arizona.
Am leaning towards selling home and crashing at my sisters between assignments.

I have not been there, and this is not a joke, but I have actually heard many times that a lot of Honolulu is ghetto. Vegas has a lot of Hawaiian's living here and that is basically the general consensus. Quick internet search says that Wai'anae, Waipahu, and Kalihi are the bad spots.
Waikiki is the place to be.
Napa on the other hand... Ding, ding, ding!
