Reports are that Hoyer looks strong and Manziel looks like shit.
Johnny Football is gonna be a backup qb AT BEST for his entire 4 year career.
Lock of the century.

Ryan Leaf is pretty hard to top. Even Jamarcus Russel since Manzeil was not a #1 overall.
Also what I love about the critics when it comes to Johnny Manzeil is he never was "good" off of the field. He is really good on the field. So give him a chance to play a few games before declaring him the greatest bust of all time imo, because the kid can really play QB.
The hype surrounding Manziel in the last 2-3 years has been huge. I just don't see him transitioning well into the NFL with his skillset.
That is where you are wrong actually. Johnny Manzeil isn't your prototypical pocket passer. He is a hybrid of pocket passer and scrambler which means he can run any West Coast offense or Read Option, which is the new fad in the NFL these days, mostly because it is so hard to defend and works. He fits the mold of the Kaepernicks/Newtons/Wilsons and can also sit in the pocket and do work on set plays. He really has a lot of very important skill sets necessary to transition to the NFL, especially in this day and age.
The biggest risk with him is not on the field, it is obviously off of the field. He had Mike Evans (going to BOSS the NFL btw) in college and now at some point should get Josh Gordon so expect big things from Mr. Manzeil. He is just a polarizing figure who a lot of people really do not like and would love to see fail. That doesn't mean he is not full of talent and ability though, which he is.
I agree he won't do much worth remembering.

A guy picked in the mid first round can't be the biggest bust of all time. It just doesn't make any sense
The hype around Tebow was huge too, does that make him the biggest bust ever? Not solid logic
I love all the Hoyer hype. Except the 1 fact I heard about him. Hes been in the league for 6 years and has never been a day 1 starter. He had 6 chances to win the starting job and hasnt ever done it. If money manziel cant beat out that scrub then he has some serious problems. It might take Money a few years to adapt to the NFL but he should be able to start on a team as bad as the Browns.
i cringed when i saw manziel's workout video. as for hoyer,..he looked pretty good in his limited time as a starter. don't know if he'll get a chance now. opportunities close fast in the nfl
Tony Mandarich begs to differ.
I don't think a guy picked in the 20's can be the biggest flop, no matter what he does. There's a ton of hype around Johnny, but not by football people.
If Manzeils career ever really did go down the shitter, I see it happening along the lines of Todd Marinovich. Still a little too early to tell.
He has had a grand total of 2 practices in the start of camp. Too early. Hoyer has been in the league 8 years, so he should be ahead. I mean, if its year #3 and Manziel looks like Bandon Wheeden, you would have a point. But 2 practices? As awful as you are you are better than that. Or maybe you are just the same old one liner with no content whatsoever.
