Received a pretty generous offer from Ceasars. Free entry into a $150,000 poker tourney + 3 free nights at either Paris, Planet Holywood, Rio or Harrah's. As usual with Ceasars, no further details, so I wonder if anyone knows more about this or perhaps played one of these in the past. I assume a 1 day crapshoot with 1000 players, but who knows, they might surprise me and host a real tourney here :-)

If they keep with their normal setup for these, you will play a shootout the 1st round with top 2 players advancing to the Main Event. If you bust you can re-enter to another shootout for $250 with 2 players advancing. The following day you play the Main with 5k stack and blinds at 50-100 ,. which double each level (15 min). Antes kick in at 3rd level. The player pool is weak cuz they are mostly slot and pit players rather than poker players but because of the structure you have to hope it is your lucky day cuz waiting for a good hand gets you shortstacked in no time. The last one I played was for freeplay not cash and a seat into wsop main event. That may have changed but look at invite closely. I figure its worth it for the free rooms. It wont be like any other tourneys you have played cuz they want it over asap. GOOD LUCK and have fun. Someone has to take it down--why not you!
Thanks man, appreciate that. To be honest, it sounds better than expected! Sure; it's a total luck fest, but it's free, and although I never stayed there, believe the Paris and Planet Hollywood are pretty niece. Also, considering it's a weekend in April, I bet the weather will be gorgeous!
I always stay at Paris (short hallways, fast valet, easy and fast to get a cab). You must go eat at Mon Ami' Gabi on the patio so you can watch and listen to Bellagio fountains. Food is great and reasonably priced. Also BLT at Bally's and Homestead at Caesar's are excellent for steaks but a bit pricey if you are not being comped. I'll refer you to my host there if you gamble a bit. Might be worth a comp or two depending on how much you play (poker not included). Just pm me and let me know.
Appreciate the offer, but I only play poker so I doubt a host will be interested in me. Dunno why, but Planet Hollywood has my preference. Thanks again
