Official Ramen Noodles Discussion and Analysis Thread

Without fail, ramen noodles have always had my back on late nights when i've got nothing else to eat or don't feel like eating left-overs etc... I've always made my ramen noodles in the exact same fashion time after time and finally want to make a change. My methodology consists of peas, the packaged noodles (chicken flavor), an additional herb, and a pinch of lime. Recently, a friend of mine made ramen noodles with pieces of shrimp and it was pretty fucking good; this experience was a catalyst for this thread and further exploration of ramen varieties....

What is your preferred brand of ramen? Nissin, Top Ramen, etc???

What do you add to your noodles?

Also, with the exception of ugaistheteam, most people can afford ramen noodles, so I am interested in everyone's input on this crucial topic.

with all due respect to ramen, lately I've been buying the microwave Kraft macaroni and cheese

when it's done cooking...I like to add a big hunk of sharp cheddar cheese and mix it in

Recently, I've been in love with real ramen from a dedicated ramen restaurant. For anyone in Vegas, Sora Ramen, Manta, and Fukumimi are the best.

Good ramen packets should have very little English on them, and any English there is should be full of syntax and spelling errors. I purchased this because it's the "delicious noodles food of Beijing". The other flavor is the delicious noodles food of Guangdong.

Ramen aren't bad but sometimes Progresso Soup are 10 cans for $10 here and blow that away.

Even though cheap frozen pizza isn't my thing but better quality ones can be I do get these sometimes when they are $1 at the store:

It's not necessarily about cheap for me much but something that can be made quickly when I'm too lazy to cook something decent or go out to eat.

Solution to world hunger = airdrop Ramen packages over impoverished areas.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

I remember hearing in college from this Asian kid who ate Ramen in the dorm lounge every day that his meal cost 7 cents.

    And I was like

They're not great when your'e buying a pack for 99 cents ,but I still buy em
Watching "Inside the mind of a chef" this famous Korean Chef said he snacked on them as kid right out of the package. So I tried it and it wasn't bad as long as you had something to wash it down with.

This thread made me rememeber this clickbait article that was all over the web a while ago:

My strange ramen addiction: Teen eats almost nothing but noodles for 13 years

    Moderation, I guess...cuz...

Readman's health is suffering, her doctors say, but she genuinely loves her diet, even though it keeps her from eating meals with friends.

    and

Readman's doctors said she is malnourished and has the health of an 80-year old. She weighs about 98 pounds at 5'3".

ramen noodles taste like playdoh and the sodium content is ridiculous something like 1700 mg, void of nutritional value as well.

More of an Udon guy. I like how they can keep them soft in the package comparatively forever.

Ate this shit all the time in Nepal when wanting a quick meal. Can be found at Indian grocery stores. The masala can be heavy, I would only ever use half of the packet.

Truly delicious, fry up some onions with that bitch and go to town.

You only live once honey and if you've tried playdoh aren't you being a bit hypocritical?

BTW the noodles don't contain the sodium it's the little packet of sodium that does.
