Josh Gordon Tests Positive Again....

He'll face a year suspension for sure now. The bitch of it is, it's for alcohol. He had a DUI, therefore alcohol is one of the substances he can't test positive for. Basically he can't do anything. Weed and alcohol are going to ruin this guys career, which in my opinion is fucking ridiculous. Granted, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer and past behavior has got him in this predicament, but seriously, weed and alcohol.

The good news is if he does come back in 2 seasons he will drop very low in fantasy football drafts, and possibly once again be the biggest bargain of any player out there. I doubt he stays out of trouble though. No chance he's able to not drink or smoke while not playing for over a year.

NFL is uptight about the wrong damn things. A player tries to intentionally hurt another player and its a slap on the wrist if at all. Catching a buzz gets you the NFL coming down on you with both feet.

That sounds like all of the bullshit I used to tell my parents after I got busted.

How many times can this guy own up to his mistakes and promise to do better? Remember that this is a dude that got kicked out of Baylor for two pot offenses. A person with 8 brain cells and an ounce of motivation would have gotten their shit together right around then. But now it's 4 years later and his career is pretty irreparably damaged. He'll go down as one of the best "coulda beens" in NFL history.

To be fair, the NFL, particularly the Browns are paying the guy a LOT of money to NOT be drinking and smoking weed. Plenty of NFL players have gotten in trouble with alcohol. Dante Stallworth jumps off the top of my head. Dude killed a guy while he was wasted. Still only served like 19 days, but still. Crazy.

Anyway, if you're paying someone that much money you definitely expect them to hold to a higher standard than your every day job.
