At first I thought maybe he was just an aggressive opportunist type, now i'm pretty sure he is a little more then just that. He is def running a scam line. Knowingly playing on people's heartstrings. Now I don't know this guy, but agree, after about the 10th consecutive thread of this guy giving a poor SOB story followed by linking his gofundme account, he is clearly trying to maximize the charitable contributions (scam?) of this community.

To be fair, I may have started popping opiates if what happened to him happened to me. I cant imagine the mental anguish his condition would create.

I sent him a few hundred for Thanksgiving as I felt bad for him. Wish him the best. It is a terrible spot he is in.

Scam was probably the wrong choice of words but he's on the right track.

The guy got hit with an absolutely awful thing which has debilitated him, possibly for the rest of his life.

That's a lot different than someone who is able-bodied trying to beg for money on forums just because they're lazy.

He probably didn't have a lot of savings before this occurred, and now he finds himself with a lot of additional expenses, but is disabled and can't do much about it.

I think he is applying for various forms of government aid, but this stuff takes a little while to get processed and get going.

He definitely isn't scamming, though. Pretty sure he really does need the money right now.

I still have to provide food and gas for us until then. its not easy. but we have each other and that is what is important. if I didn't have Lisa I would be in a nursing home. not being able to provide for her as I have the past 10 years and as a man it hurts.
