Celine's Dion's All coming back to me was an absolute smash in the late nineties. What most people don't realize is that the song was never written for her. Steinman wrote it for Meatloaf. So was meatloaf the first? No. He actually performed it nearly 20 years after it first came out (and after celine). The song actually started with Stienman's girl group Pandora's Box who most people never heard of.
Ask most people about Quiet Riot and many will describe them as a one hit wonder band who really only made it big with one song. What many people don't know (unless you were British) is that it was a ten year old remake of another band.
Slade actually was a pretty big band but not as much outside of the UK.

Grand Funk Railroad's version "definitive"? That's somewhat impossible in a literal sense
but as a music critic, which we all are, it is the worst version to the ear and no guy band
should be doing it except maybe the Beach Boys.

Say what you want about the Beebs, he is incredibly talented. He puts the Queens version to shame. I had never heard the Queens version until recently, but have to admit that Bieber did it better.
