For the first time in a long time, it might snow as Las Vegas rings in the New Year.
Forecast for Wednesday night calls for a 50% chance of precipitation and temperatures in the 30s.
Times Square in New York is only forecasted to be a few degrees cooler, and no snow.
The most snow Vegas has received at once in my lifetime was 6 inches, in 2008, on December 17. I was there when it happened. All of the drivers were freaking out, as most had never driven in snow before. I had to go to the DMV that day, and when I was driving back, it was snowing heavily.
The snow forecasted for December 31 is not likely to stick or accumulate.
