    UFC 180

What a shitty card. Looks as if the UFC went all in on Cain Velasquez carrying the PPV (which he probably would have ). But they completely fuck themselves when they dont sprinkle 1-2 other entertaining fights into the mix and then the main draw pulls out. The weird thing is that UFC 181 and the two UFC Fight Nights after that one are completely stacked.

I am surprised Mark Hunt isnt a bigger dog than +330. The altitude and him being obese and 40 yrs old I think is going to kill him. I wonder what odds are for Hunt first round TKO. That is his only chance and probably why it isnt +600

Even though it was a year ago, he went 5 rds with steroid freak Silva and earned FOTN. His cardio isn't going to be the biggest factor in this fight.

You may right. I forgot about that one.

I dont understand why these guys stay fat.. There is no advantage to being a fatass at any weight class versus packing on the muscle. The amount of calories they must eat to stay fat must be ridiculous.

Even Cain Velasquez should be fighting a lot leaner. It has worked for him so far, but I think you could easily argue he would be even better without the excess fat weight.

The only person it makes sense for is Roy Nelson but that is because of how he has branded himself and not because it makes him a better fighter.

Mark has fought at altitude before. He likes to get there nice and early to adapt, iirc. I'm looking for a thrilling KO, Mark is a cool ass dude. Go follow him on twitter, he will follow u back and RT the shit outta you.

Mark Hunt is a likable dude for sure but if he empty's the tank early and don't close he likely will have all sorts trouble.

First round Hunt by KO bet seems like it could be a good play with the right return.

They did try, they had little Goyito and Diego Sanchez on the card, which both would have been killer in Mexico, but those dropped off too. The bad part is they are using the event as the finals of TUF Latin America, and by all accounts, the fighters on that show rank ahead of TUF China, but that's about it. Really low skill levels.

He fought Ben Rothwell in Denver. As for the getting there nice and early bit, he didn't have a chance, being the late replacement and all, while Werdum has been there for months already. There's also pretty much universal agreement that Mexico City is WAAAY tougher on the body than Denver when you are not used to it. The pollution alone is rough, then add 7000 ft, and you are strugg-a-ling. If you are throwing things or sprinting or doing anaerobic shit, Mexico City is great because there's so little air resistance. Fights, team sports, or anything that lasts longer than 30 seconds, and performance goes way down.

This fight is sooooo Fabricio's to lose.

seriously tho mark hunt is samoan and weight is not a factor with him, and a ton of money is going on him last minute for good reason.

I don''t know Werdum is pretty much like the Chris Byrd of mma and you don't make a lot of cash betting against guys like that. And we all know what Byrd did to that fellow Samoan.

Melvin Guillard was fine FIFTY PERCENT of his purse for missing weight yet again, this time for a title fight in the world series of baseball and poker and fighting.

As much as I would like to see a KO and have a redwood fall, I think Hunt is going to spend more time on his back than the last twink I was with.

Watch bestfightodds, half the books moved a little one way, half the other in the last day. There's no big movement for Hunt.
