That bitch got exactly what she deserved, nothing less & nothing more.
If he closed his fist & hit her with that type of force I would have an entirely different opinion but he didn't. Sounds crazy but he did that for her own protection; men don't usually use employ the "slap" technique but he consciously chose that particular weapon in his arsenal because he knew that it wouldn't seriously hurt anything except her ego.
He also didn't touch her until she hit him with her purse(or shoe) & turned around to defend himself immediately which he should use in court to demonstrate self defense. Tell them his back was turned when he was assaulted & he just reacted not knowing if she was going to continue to attack....he felt endangered & outnumbered etc...I wouldn't plea down I would want charges dropped or go to trial, no jury's gonna convict.
