Once that black guy showed up trying to serve him, he should have called them, gave a final offer of $1000, and pretended to be firm on it. Then if they actually refused, give it a day and ultimately back down and give it for free.

I rarely sell pieces anymore, unless it's just to give somebody a sweat. I'll either buy up all of myself, or sell to a friend at no mark-up if I don't want to put up all of it.
