Unlimited Olive Garden Pasta bowl + soda for 6 weeks for $100

Going on sale in 15 minutes. Limited to the first 1,000. I would do it (and abuse it) if OG didn't suck.

What are you expected to tip every time you use this?

Any time you have a promo (groupon or whatever) you should tip on whatever the full value of the meal would have been. I don't think it's terribly expensive normally tho. I'm sure giving $3-$4 is fine.

I wouldn't take a dump at an Olive Garden.

Druff clearly wishes he could tip on the purchase of the card at point of sale and the broads would bring out unlimited food to him after that for six weeks worth of visits.

Now if they would only run this promo at better restaurants.

No, this wasn't a Jewish tipping question.

It was me pointing out that it's not the same thing as getting a card for something "unlimited" where you can just walk up and keep taking what you want for free.

Like say you bought a card that entitled you to unlimited burgers and fries at McDonald's. That would be different, because there would be zero cost for each use of the card -- only paying up front for the card itself.

Here if you are expected to tip $4 each time, it's a good deal if you really enjoy pasta at Olive Garden and won't get sick of it, but otherwise not so good.

Even with your explanation, it was clearly a Jewish tipping question.

If this was offered (in a similar fashion/similar price range of the food) at a few local joints by me I would snap-purchase. But not Olive Garden.

Say you get 3 meals a week, tip $5 each time. Promo 7 weeks long. $105 in tips plus $100 for card = $205 for 21 meals. So even tipping a 5 spot, only 3 meals a week is pretty much the baseline for getting value.

Again though, only like a few places I would consider doing something like this, and pasta based would not be my choice at all.

Should have bought up 100 of them and sold for 200 each.

Honestly, while trying to think of national brand-name places I would do this for, with similar price points, I can only come up with either Chipotle or Qdoba. My own personal taste, of course, but I could easily do burritos from either of them probably 5 meals a week, plus $1 tip is fine at those spots.
