I got this today. Basically, Pokerstars is adding voice chat to their games and they are going to use the Micros freeroll as one of the beta tests. I wonder what the over under will be for how long until the first player gets banned from voice chat.

I think Americans are allowed to play in the freeroll, at least according to the Micros.

I don't think the voice chat thing is a good idea, though. I think it will get annoying really quickly.

I mean, I guess I could see it having some value if you can use it to keep donks interested in staying around, but for the most part, I see it being really irritating to have turned on.

I mean in the cash voice chat games. I really don't care about the freeroll unless I get a Chase shirt for winning. At least the Filthy Limper league is giving an i-pad.

I think features like this are great for the game. Of course serious grinders are going to be annoyed by it, but it definitely appeals to casual and older players. Making online poker more social is also generally good for the game imo. I'm sure they'll allow for this to be toggled off anyway.

I assume it only lets people on the table chat, could be some hilarious rail talk otherwise.
Assumedly it also only works when you click buttons on certain tables since you dont want to call someone "Scotty Clarke" on 1 table and have it go out to 5 other tables.

Bad idea, hope it ends up being opt-in rather than opt-out
