Should I start a sports/sportsbetting forum and put all sports-related threads there?

I'm not going to go back and move old ones, but if I do this, it would be a new forum on PFA entirely dedicated to sports and sportsbetting.

This would make Flying Stupidity a general discussion area for everything EXCEPT sports.

There are pros and cons to doing this.

    PROS:

    1) People who don't like US sports will find Flying Stupidity easier to read and more interesting

    2) People who do like sports threads won't find them getting lost among the other stuff on Flying Stupidity

    3) Forum in general will be more organized

    CONS:

    1) Flying Stupidity, the most active forum here, will lose activity

    2) Might be a pain in the ass for people who are used to just reading 1 forum here

    What do you guys think?

Making a new forum is a bad idea IMO as it will kill traffic to this forum and the threads will get less action.

No. Keep it here but institute a zero tolerance trolling policy

Put "wagering" in the OFFICIAL NFL and NCAA and the NBA sheeboon thread.

Tyde should be granted his own thread because he is on the verge of doing big things in the sportsbetting world.

It's fine where it's at. I think it's just up to us as users who post in those threads to try and keep it in one.

As china said making a new forum is a BAD idea. I like doing the sports mainly while reading up on the other stuff going on in flying stupidity.

    Don't make a new forum.

I don't think that the trolling is a problem now that you finally wisened up and banned JSearles.

Light trolling is fine imo if someone makes a bad pick.

It's up to you, but please consolidate, don't scrap any of the long running college football or NFL threads. I haven't calculated my w/l % yet for the year.

No, the problem is too many individual LOCK threads.

I say having threads for each sport is fine and a misc/random thread for LOCK picks where all of them for all sports can go in it so we don't have 100 individual threads on the subject imo.

If you move it out of Flying Stupidity then not enough people will even go to a new section which that con alone is a deal breaker for a sports betting forum,

    Love this first line

Someone's always coming around here trailing some new kill
Says I seen your picture on a hundred dollar bill
And what's a game of chance to you, to him is one of real skill
    So glad to meet you

    keep it here.

one thread per major sport. NCAA Football, NFL Football, NBA, NHL. Then say when March Madness comes on one for that.

If anything you need to delete all but 2-3 forums. Site activity not heavy enough to justify it.

    jsearles is history now

    shouldn't be an issue

with that said, I would vote no creating a new forum

Picking up the ticket shows there's money to be made
Go on and lose the gamble that's the history of the trade
You add up all the cards left to play to zero
    And sign up with evil

As someone who enjoys this site, but does not give a fuck about US sports, FWIW, I say leave as is. It's easy enough to just avoid those threads.

Yes, it will make it easier for me to ignore those threads.

I already ignore most non-NFL threads, and I haven't noticed much forum clutter. I'd say it's fine as it is.
