I do love super bowl props. Every year I put way too much time into the anthem prop but it’s paid off.
Right now the time is 2:03:50 -150 to the over +135 to the Under - so two minutes three and a half seconds.
Demi has sung the anthem publicly four times.
So the first three at 1:50ish - all outside non recorded. The fourth and most recent was indoors at the Floyd McGreggor fight. Timed at a lengthy 2:11. So clearly the bettors are taking the big moment into account allong with the most recent version.
I have a slightly different spin, not without risk. If you pull up and watch the latest version she had to pause on four different occasions for 3-5 seconds. She “had to” do this because the crowd was going fucking bonkers for her rendition and obviously they were a super hot crowd in an indoor arena. The super bowl is going to be outdoors and the accompanying music is almost always recorded. There is almost always a flyover. In short they have it timed down to the second because 15 seconds = 2-3 Million dollars in advertising time. They simply don’t fuck around with the schedule.
I think this year there is value on the under. She won’t be able to pause/stop for long stretches in the middle on the rendition and she shouldn’t have too. “Dead time” isn’t something I can ever recall any other anthem having a lot of.
I’m waiting to see if people continue to pile into the over and we start to see some 2:06 or higher.
