Golf in Dubai Championship begins basically late tonight as it is Wed-Sat in Dubai. This pick is more a value pick than last week, where I just really had a strong feeling and more recent info to work with. Who the fuck knows how these guys are going to play in Dubai. That is the main reason I wanted to find a guy whose odds I believe are lined up with his chances. There are many golfers with bigger names and lower odds. The winner is most likely going to come from one of these guys, but to differentiate between them is tough and the prices all suck.

Sami Valimaki (Anywhere from +2800 to +3300) would be my pick. He won his first title in his 6th ever event back in late February. This was the last event before the shutdown. It’s been a weird year for him as it has for many. If you look at his stats for this year they won’t blow your mind (Thus the great price). He had a few missed cuts in a row when he returned. However, he has been trending up his last 4 tournaments. He was contending in the last two. I think he’s well worth a few bucks at his odds.

PGA tour is tough this week. JT at odds between +600 to +700 and Brooks around +1100. At this point their odds are just too low to take but I am not sure I want to try to beat them. JT is the best grinder on tour imho. If you put your money on him, you can count on him to play his ass off for you. Just at 6-1, in a venue you need to go low, the price isn’t right. I have a feeling we may get a winner with +3500 odds or more. Just not sure which one yet.

I was actually in Vegas last year and bet Conners going into the weekend on the tournament he won. He can go low when he’s on. Main thing for him is GIR. If he needs to rely on his short game too much it’s going to be tough. I like the play. Probably won’t be in Jersey to put in my Mexico bets until tomorrow, but I will at least ride 100 or so with you.

Apparently someone dropped 500k on seahawks according to MGM.

OUCH. Krypt I did lose $110 on them if you're keeping track.

As Daly said we move on.

Value Alert- MGM has Leishman for the Mexico PGA at 55-1. His form hasn’t been good but he has come out of nowhere before. He had a decent Masters T13. Most books have him at 40-1. I wouldn’t touch that price. 55-1 is an offer I can’t refuse.

Valimaki is already 9 behind, middle of the pack.

Oh well... good bet in theory, at least.

Yea it was pretty tilting. This course is playing as easy as possible. He birdied the first hole and I was just waiting for him to string them together...it just never happened. A bogey free -2. I'm driving today in gridlock and because the European Tour focuses so much on the UK players, I didn't get to a see a single shot he hit. He was also moved into a 2-some which I wasn't excited about. My guess is a lot of 2 putts. His card doesn't look like someone scrambling, someone just not rolling them in.

Sullivan I have burnt a lot of dough on. Painful to see him put together that round. The early wave had the low scores. It's going to be a tough road ahead but the good news is we will know if there's any shot pretty early tonight. He tees off around 11pmEST. Needs to shoot 65 or lower for sure. I am hoping he just had a shitty day on the greens and he gets the stick working.

Those Covid infested Ravens are in your neighborhood badguy.

I know you don’t make decisions this far ahead of the kickoff.

I saw it was -10.5 everywhere but my book so I bought some at 10. Not much of a reason, I’ll admit.

Love to bet RG3 interceptions but my props have retarded prices.

Seems like every week you hear how the Steelers haven’t played this guy well or this team well at times. Then you look down and their 8-2 ATS. This chatter is mostly for the Steelers themselves to not let their guards down. As a bettor got to drive out that chatter. I was thinking about it today...rivalry game, middle of the week and 10.5 points. Big Ben historically underperforms early in games and keeps them closer than they should be. Take the points right? This could for sure be a clunker and thats a lot of points. I just know after the game it may be another “fuck this was easy money on the Steelers”.

Somewhere in my travels I heard or read someone talk about the difference in commercial advertising revenue between Thanksgiving and mid week daytime game show syndication rates

Will be interesting to see the ratings of this game. NFL always seems to do a decent number. This is new territory for them. With the Steelers being a National brand and a lot of people working from home, I think it will do better than expected. Wonder what the discount is to the advertisers.
