That said, I have been nibbling here and there in a small way on DKNG. The software and marketing is unparalleled in the space. See the little message sent to my phone on that 2 run prop above? DraftKings just started showing progress bars for bet status too. You bet over 8 runs and the game is 4 they give you a little progress bar. It’s the little things pal. It’s a fun visual and demonstrates they “get it”.
I did a round robin and they have a similar progress graphic that shows how you’re doing with your picks. Instantly put a smile on my face. It’s a useless but fun feature. The sizzle in the steak. Nobody else does that.
Their promotions are negative EV for the most part but they are on point. When people talk about their bets they always mention a bonus of free bet they are using and where it was from. It’s viral word of mouth marketing.
They are recently sending me promotions on the phone personalized with my first name. I hate that shit but I tip my cap to the superior marketing. (As I sit here typing I GUARANTEE AI FAST APPROACHETH)
By way of comparison, maybe FanDuel has better lines for props and such but the software is a hemorrhoid for the most part.

Speaking of Dodger pitching staff as an example of the state of arm surgery in the MLB….
