I expect big things from you Mr Witteles. We must zig then zag.

I noticed you deleted the San Fran Zaidi observation. It obviously reflects poorly on the Dodgers but it must be addressed.

It’s relevent as tonight it’s Bumgarner v F. Yu (who has been good lately btw). Is this Bum’s last turn in a Giants uniform?

I am serious (this time). If the Giants are 2 games out of a wild card and running hotter than the sun the San Francisco villagers will come after Zaidi with pitchforks and rope if he has a yard sale.

San Fran is a sports town. They LOVE the Giants. More so than LA & Dodgers.

Zaidi is a committed algo guy. It’s his brand. He could become a rock star like Theo Epstein in the eyes of the fan base if he came out and announced they are going for it.

What will Farhan do? Or is it all too painful to consider? I understand

While you are watching Bumgarner tonight Druff, sort Babip lowest to highest. .

Ryu & Maeda have led a charmed life. Variance is sometimes a good thing homey.

    Three picks, all starting shortly:

St. Louis (D. Hudson) at Pittsburgh (Archer) - Over 9 -115
Detroit (Boyd) +132 vs. Philadelphia (Nola)
Minnesota (Gibson) +107 vs. Yankees (German)

    NOTE: Possible rainout in Detroit

Come on, I didn't delete anything. Why would I do that?

Giants do have a tough decision coming up. What looked like an obvious "sell" at the deadline now looks like a buy because they're so close to the wildcard and running super hot.

The fans won't forgive Zaidi if he dumps the team at this point, especially given what other mediocre SF teams managed to do in the postseason this decade.

Roman Quinn -- he of the .109 average -- just stung Boyd for a 2-run HR.

    Terrible.

At least my over is looking fairly good, a 3-3 game in the 4th.

If Kershaw was postseason Bumgarner the Dodgers would have 4 rings.

Instead, the Dodgers are the Buffalo Bills.

Quick, who was the quarterback during the Bills 4 Super Bowls? Tough, right? Nobody remembers the runner up.

    Sorry Kersh

Now that you think about it and the Dodgers playoff history - I guess, yes, you have to go for it

    Fun night of MLB betting.

Minnesota took an 8-2 lead and is about to blow it, up 9-8.

The Cards/Pirates were 3-3 in the 3rd inning, and the over 9 looked like a lock. Final score 4-3. Not even close.

Phillies/Detroit locked in a 2-2 tie in the 13th. Detroit has a man on, but that hasn't seemed to have mattered much. A .109 hitter drove in the only runs for the Phils.

1st and 2nd 1 out for Detroit, bottom 13. All they gotta do is get a run home and it's over.

Miggy grounds out into a DP.

Don’t want to be “that guy” here San, but if you can’t snap call who the QB was for the Bills this probably isn’t the thread for you.

Generally speaking I agree with your point, this was just a bad example.

Honestly, last night was one of the ugliest nights I've had in sportsbetting. All three games were super disappointing.

The over started off 3-3 after 3 innings, and didn't come close to reaching 9 runs.

The Phi/Det game went 15 innings, with Detroit getting 1st-and-2nd with 1 out several times in extras, never scoring. Finally they lost 3-2 in the 15th at home.

The NYY/Min game saw the Twins get up 8-2, then fall behind 10-9 in a 5-run eighth, then get back ahead 11-10, then have the Yankees at 2 outs in the 9th with nobody on, only to give up 2 runs and fall behind 12-11. Then they tied it 12-12, went to extras, fell behind 14-12. Then they loaded the bases with 2 outs, and a gapper was sure to go to the wall, clear the bases, and win the game 15-14 Twins. Nope. Aaron Hicks made a spectacular catch out of nowhere, and game over.

    0-3

White Sox (Rey. Lopez) -124 vs. Miami (Gallen)

Lost both yesterday, currently in an 0-5 slump.

    Here are picks for today.

    Starting very soon:

Cleveland (Plutko) at KC (Montgomery) - Under 10 -110 -- Reverse Trapper John pick

    Starting later:

Detroit (VerHagen) +150 at Seattle (Swanson) - Battle of two bad pitchers, but VerHagen actually has more potential to pitch well

You know you're running bad when you almost lose an under 10 which is 3-3 after 9. But it did win, to give me the split for the day.

    Here are two moneylines:

Toronto (Waguespack) +125 vs. Tampa (D. Castillo)
Milwaukee (G. Gonzalez) -113 vs. Cubs (Hendricks)

Split 'em yesterday, as well. Took late comeback to do it.

Today, there's just a sole OVER.

Texas (Sampson) at Oakland (Bailey) - Over 9.5 -110

Two horrible pitchers going at it. Public play, but the sharps actually agree on it, as well. Almost looks like a Trapper John play, but honestly it looks good to me.

I considered Texas moneyline (getting +160 versus Bailey is super tempting) and Miami moneyline, but decided to pass on both.

I know I’m not gonna get you take Cleveland and it’s not for lack of effort. W 9-1 14-2 run

Consider instead Padres -130 v SF Giants. The Giants are hotter than the sun. This can be the only explanation for this line. W 5-1

I know it’s not all about pitching but wtf.

I rarely step in front of locomotives but this will prolly appeal to you too.

    I’m in 2 units.

Hey it’s a SF fade so there is that

Texas over was something I missed. Good idea.

Can someone open up an Official NFL thread?

Someone with some NFL cred or love. Either one. That rules me out but I have some player props, futures and wins totals I’d like to share.

Last night was a hoot. I had moneyline -150 Broncos and would have happily taken a field goal for a push. I collect a stupid lucky pachinko preseason NFL win in the end zone
