Edit: LOL. Jackson scores two 30 foot 3 pointers (I am not exaggerating, look at the box score) in the 3rd for the over. Oh yeah, I had Warriors -4 for game too. They are losing by 50, so that one probably isn't going to happen.
Curry still has his morning shift at Subway?
The real amusing thing is that it feels like Klay is in more commercials than Curry during recent games and he has been brutal this whole series. And it seems every time he makes a bad play (normally a missed shot In a high leverage shot) it immediately cuts to one of his commercials.

Baker mayfield is the undisputed all time leader of the commercial immediately following bad play category, but Klay giving him a run for his money.

For those of us who have the Phillies over the Dodgers (Kershaw)

The Dodgers placed Clayton Kershaw on the injured list Friday with right SI joint inflammation. The sacroiliac (SI) joint is located in the pelvic bone.

Buehler will replace Kershaw and pitch on normal rest. This is an improvement. Switch sides. All Dodger wins are run lines.

Truthfully, this was never a great spot for the Dodgers even though they are at home. Just returned after a bad loss. Conjugal visits and kids. Question the focus.

Druff will be inundated with condolences but send him a note anyway. So much unfulfilled promise… I mean Kershaw not Druff.

That brutal loss last night began with Will Smith down on his left knee and letting that ball pass. Play the position like a pro or gtfo. Gavin Lux and cocky Dodger lackadaisical defense gets a nod too. Permission is given by this author to cut and paste Druff

This was almost the second disasterous Phillies blown lead. They threw away a 7-run lead in the 9th against the Mets earlier, and lost. Here the Dodgers came back from 7-1, only to give it away.

Very tough. Will Smith will never be a great defensive catcher, kinda like Mike Piazza. His value comes from his bat. Dodgers actually didn't expect Smith to be that good with the bat. It was thought that Keibert Ruiz would be the future catcher of the organization, and Smith would just be a stopgap until Ruiz was ready. Then Smith was promoted, started hitting, and continued hitting. Ruiz was expendable, and now he's with the Nationals.

Kershaw was doing well this year. However, if this back injury continues to be a problem, this might be his last year. That's why he only signed a 1-year deal, when he could have had far more. Gotta give Kershaw credit for that. He could've signed a multiyear deal with some other team and then just gone on the long-term DL if his back became a problem. Instead, he did the moral thing, and signed 1-year, figuring he might actually be done after 2022.

Kershaw was promoted at age 20. He has a lot of mileage. He had a great career, even if he couldn't quite get it done in the postseason. His postseason wasn't as bad as it appeared. Some of it was due to pitching mismanagement and lack of trust in the (admittedly bad) bullpens.

He will be first ballot HOF regardless.

It has been clear for some time that Buehler is the new ace of the organization.

Two bets today, both on the same game.

Tama Bay (Rasmussen) +111 vs. Toronto (Gausman)
    Tampa/Toronto - Under 23 R+H+E

    Looking for a low-scoring, low-hit Tampa victory.

    Always gotta be a sweat.

Tampa was up 2-0 in a game with few hits (but somehow 2 errors, which always happens when I bet RHE).

Then they gave up 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 8th, and the Blue Jays had 1st and 2nd, nobody out. Shit! But they wormed out of it somehow.

Now with Gausman still pitching in the bottom of the 8th (bad decision, to be honest), Zunino hit a leadoff double. Hopefully they can bring him home, then maybe Feyereisen can finish it off. Raley blew the save, Kittredge got him out of it, but I'm not sure if he gets a second inning. Right now 15 RHE, so that's looking pretty good barring a tons of hitting/scoring in the final frames.

Okay, 4-2 Rays. Great job. Now stop hitting and scoring, and let my RHE win also (presently sitting at 20... uh oh).

You can’t just say, “aside from the post season” Kershaw was great.

The regular season in an inferior division is a satellite tourney. The greats and the champions reside in the post season, of course.

Yes, everyone gets in the HOF. Kershaw is a lock. He will not be unanimous

Yeah I tried to find it but couldn't. Knew right when you posted it that you were correct. Good tip.

    I can't believe I'm betting Arizona -1.5, but yeah, I'm betting Arizona -1.5

Zac Gallen has been one of the best pitchers in baseball so far. This saddens me because I had him in a keeper fantasy league, but let him go after his bad 2021.

Anyway, he's been killing it, and Arizona has been a pleasant surprise thus far, winning 8 of 10 and holding an 18-15 record.

The 11-20 Cubs are trash, but the bigger story today is Kyle Hendricks. He threw 116 pitches in a great game against the Padres last time out, going 8 2/3, just missing a CG shutout. So why bet against him? Hendricks isn't used to throwing 116 pitches these days. There will be a fatigue factor. It was just 5 days ago when he threw those pitches, so he didn't even get an off-day to give him an extra day of rest. This game should be a fall back to earth, in a season where he otherwise hasn't been good.

Beware that home -1.5 games are a big risk, as these wins are a lot more often the 1-run variety, due to both the walkoff potential and the lack of 9th inning batting when ahead. However, I still think this will be a 2+ run victory for the D-backs, and you get +130 on it, to boot.

Arizona (Gallen) -1.5 +130 vs. Cubs (Hendricks)

    This looks lame after Sandwich

No reason to try to get cute

Houston Astros -1½ -125 for Game

    If you insist on cute

Pittsburgh Pirates team total over 4½ +100 for Game
no one other than Hunter Greene for Reds and that bullpen.

Reds Hunter Greene finally fulfilling his promise. He’s working on a no-hitter vs my Pirates TT. If you’re gonna lose - lose big.

It’s not easy being a counter culture pop star. I’m up to it. I want to prove it to you by taking the Dodgers and their pitching prospect @ -128 vs Philly. Philly has succeeded against the Dodger in this series and likely just wants to get out of LA. Can you blame them?

Thinking about it. If the Dodgers win they will write songs about me.

    Edit
Of course, Cincy looking out at their bullpen will likely have Greene throw 130 pitches and maim him for life

    Boston/Milwaukee

    1st half O99.5

--I would not be surprised at all if we have a 35 point total quarter somewhere along the way, but I am guessing it will most likely happen in the second half and first half will be relatively normal scoring.

halfway through 2nd period. No chance. Both teams just keep missing wide open 3's. Game 7 tightness is a real thing apparently.

I bet the “can’t lose forever” Dodgers.

I thought I’d get cute and take the stupid Dodgers. I should be institutionalized. Nothing hurts more than a Dodgers loss.

Celtics go 3/4 for 3 in the first minute and a half of the 2nd half. Sometimes I think this stuff really is rigged.
