Miami (E. Cabrera) +151 at Atlanta (Elder)
Note: Prior to getting hit fairly hard by the powerful Dodgers last time out, Cabrera had almost 23 straight scoreless innings over 4 games. Trevor Richards is starting a bullpen game for the Jays.
Contreras and Cabrera both pitched well. Toronto scored 3 off the Pirates bullpen, and won 4-1.
Miami loaded 'em down 1-0 in the 9th against Kenley Jansen with no out, got one across, and then sadly WALKED in a the winning run in the bottom of the 9th.
0-2 and the slump continues, with that little break of winning that last Angels bet. Sad!

I don’t know if you saw or heard anything about Alcaraz v Sinner last night in the US Open Quarterfinals. 19yo v 21yo
The McEnroe brothers were in the booth. John McEnroe said it was one of the 5 greatest matches he ever saw. I agree. One of the most exciting things I ever saw in sport period. Alcaraz is so insanely quick. Bulked up and athletic.
Most important these two were like relief pitchers. They would fuck up a shot and it was wiped from the memory bank. Alcaraz definitely has a wiring problem. Nothing bothers him. The anti-Kyrgios or Shapo to name two emotional retards.
The match went 5+ hours and didn’t end til 3am EST. The latest match in US Open history. Tennis more than any other sport (without exception) is THE greatest live wagering sport currently. The live algorithms aren’t complete yet and may never be good.

I watched that entire match and am convinced them two could have played until sunrise. Two Alcaraz matches in one week instant classics. I was on the wrong side with Tiafoe but picked a few winners in MLB.
Alcaraz has all the tools to be a great one and looks like we finally have some youngbloods ready to contend every tournament. Djokovic missing 2 majors a year being unvaccinated is messing with his legacy which kinda sucks.
Alcaraz is an assassin. How does a 19yo possess that kind of composure on a stage like that? NYC is clearly & loudly behind Tiafoe. Oh to be 19 and never get tired. He has a lot of hours accumulated on the court now for this tournament. Fried, Giolito, Jack Flaherty are forever linked in my head coming off the same SoCal high school team. All killed it but only Fried has survived time. Flaherty still means something as a brand name. He’s coming back off injury and is still finding his way. He could revisit his teenage self but I’ll gamble as Druff would.

I would've gone for that Pirates pick if I were around when it started. But I looked at it too late. And it's winning at the moment. Oh well.
Late season dogs killed me in prior years. I stayed away from them in the second half of 2021 and did very well. This year I haven't stayed away from them, and am struggling recently.
