I have two more futures left, Daly. I am retiring from futures as legalized wagering knocks on my door.

I sure as shit don’t want my bet returned to me early if I do place a future either.

    Not sure what this means?

Legal books are the best place to make these wagers. It’s when you hit local guys for 5-10K it can get dicey. Obv the public books aren’t a big fan either, but the worst that happens there is a cut.

I have two futures off shore.

I don’t need or want to bet on credit. I do not want to spend one second of my life thinking about Guido’s liquidity come autumn.

Massachussetts legalization is about to happen. Obviously, offshore may elect not to antagonize the authorities and just return my bets.

Going forward, I’m no fan of the hold found on legal books. I certainly am not going to pay taxes either.

If a book isn’t originating their own lines obviously you will get cut. I will not have local access to such books in the law changes. Cutting is a publicly stated business practice by the non originating public companies.

We’ve been thru this several times.

Sorry guys last 7 months same fucking story. Had a winning car this time there is an engine problem early but not enough cautions to get back up close. As for holes 11-14 for Sheffler, well is what it is. If he doesn’t do it tommorow, I hope Fitz gets it done for Daly.

The weather was diabolical but Sheffler hit a horrrific wedge on 12 and then a true shank on his second shot on 14. At minus 6 at the short par 3 11 to even mess with the right side there is mind boggling.

Nerves can creep up, even for a guy with 5 wins this season. ESP at a US Open. I had a big wager on Morikawa when he blew the 5 stroke lead in December in Bermuda. He hasn’t been the same since then. Even after winning 2 majors, showing nerves that tournament started a regression. Golfs been tough. Nascar been real tough….12 different winners I. 16 races.

    Should of listened to San.

Anyways I know I haven’t been around much and it has nothing to do with the forum. Just personal shit no one wants to hear about. Hope everyone is doing well and hope to be more active on here going forward.

Daly, I was lucky when I was younger my father’s company always had a tent. I went to Bethpage twice, Shinnecock & Pinehurst. Mostly Tiger & Phil days so we actually got there real early once and followed Daly around. He was first out. Finished his round in about 2 hours and 15 mins I think. But good memories for sure. Glad you got out there.

Edit: Company my father worked for. Wasn’t his tent.

Going to the us open (and smashing the winner at odds not offered in 3 months) has given me an itch I can’t scratch….. need to take Daly Sr to Augusta or the other Open in the next few years.

If I’m Zals agent I pay a team to kidnap him for 3 months and force him into becoming a average putter.

If he becomes top 50 in puts shorter than 7 Ft he will be a world #1 for a period of time.

I’m happy Fitz came through for you Daly.

I guess this hurts less with both coming in T 2. Been this kind of year.

    Also..

    “Collin Morikawa: 69-66-77-66

Likely to have the round of the day twice this week and won't win.”

He shot -9 in three days and absolutely shit himself for the first time in his career. He was also on the record as saying he was in poor form and his iron cut was trash.

I’ll be all over Collin for a Open repeat.

I see a lot of sharps piled on St. Louis vs Milwaukee over, despite two of the better 2022 pitchers facing one another, in Burnes and Mikolas. The reasoning, presumably, is that Burnes has been hittable in 2 of his last 3 outings, and Mikolas threw a career 129 pitches six days ago, in attempt to get a no hitter. Note that the line also favors Burnes about -165 right now. I'm still passing on this because Burnes looked good last time out, and Mikolas has been surprising people all year, so he may not regress today as much as people think. Normally I would fire +155 on Mikolas against anyone, given how he's been pitching in 2022, but not after a 129 pitch outing.

Instead I'll just take the lowly Pirates against the even lowlier Cubs. The rookie Cubs pitcher got smacked hard last time out, despite a good MLB debut previously.

Pittsburgh (Brubaker) -110 vs. Cubs (Kilian)

Too bad they can't all be this way.

Pittsburgh jumped out to a huge lead early, and cruised to a 12-1 blowout.

I'm actually feeling a lot better about my picks recently. I picked an under 9 and it was 0-0 after 9 innings. I picked an over 9.5 because of a lot of HR being likely, and indeed 6 HR were hit (though sadly I lost that one!) This time I picked Pittsburgh in an even-ish line and they got a blowout win.

I can tell I'm seeing it well when the games go as predicted, not just based upon whether I'm booking Ws or Ls. Sometimes a bad pick can luck into a win or unluck into a loss.

    Congrats

Lot of us were fading Killian too. While sweating (lol) this one I saw Oneil Cruz play in his first game. WTF. A 6’7” 5 tool wunderkind. A moments of pure joy watching this guy.

I can’t believe you didn’t mention him Druff.

cannon at short stop. don’t know how long he’ll last & don’t care but I’m not gonna miss a minute.

Yeah, kid is only 23 and has a great future ahead of him. Maybe Pirates won't be a failteam anymore if he and some of these other prospects work out.

The one thing working against him long term is his size. Being a 6'7" shortstop is hard -- very hard. When you're 23, you can overcome that challenge with your agility. When you start to get some years on you (and the wear and tear of an MLB career), you're not going to stay viable at that size at shortstop. Speed will fall by the wayside, as well. How many big MLB guys are still fast runners after age 30?

But the Pirates might have some great years out of him until that happens. And as long as the offense holds up, that can last for much longer, while he transitions over to 3B or something.

I really don’t care about 7 years from now as a fan. I alluded to not knowing how long it will last in my post above.

I will say in defense of his future 6’7” today is not the 6’7” of 10 years ago or even 8. 6’2” is the minimum to get on the ride now.

The articles are being written as we chat. This piece has players and coaches marveling at his arm. Fun!

I’ll admit the last time I got jazzed like this about a player was Trea Turner last year. Obv Tatis too.

Story as old as time though…. Future first (or third if righty) baseman.

    Same for Ripken or Arod

Biden's been horrible and many people are asking themselves the unthinkable, should they vote Republican?

    No! NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN!
Let me tell you a lil secret, if you ignore what Biden says and look at what he does on the important issues. Biden's the quintessential Republican.

    Some plays starting shortly:

Detroit (B. Brieske) +172 at Boston (R. Hill)
Hill seems to be finally showing his age, and Brieske has had 3 strong starts in a row, currently holding a 12.7 scoreless inning streak.

    More soon

Kelly Norda is smoking hot, the defending champion, and looked good in her return last week.

    Give me +900

Have a feeling this is going to be a dart throwing week on the PGA. Feels like a lot
Of distraction going on with LIV and most players gearing up to cross the pond in preparation for the open.

McCarthy, Steele, Clark and Theegala - bet a little to win a lot. Backed up Theegala for FRL as well.
