Dodgers are a free game today on the MLB.tv app/pkg.

    Enter code: runner up

    It’s appropriately priced.

If that’s what you want to do with your $ Simp at least now you can either elect to take the blindfold or watch.

(Shhh. Listen, you can hear the Dodgers calling the Sawks for Cashner & Evoldi).

Except it's blacked out in LA and Vegas.

Unless you can fake your location being in Alberta, like a certain Dodgers fan who runs a certain eighth tier poker forum.

I hate betting baseball on Sunday. So hard to handicap. Lineups are weird. Day games affect players in strange ways. Just so hard to predict.

Looks like I'm gonna get fucked out of what appeared to be an easy, relaxing win. Diamondbacks up early 4-0, now behind 6-4 in the 8th.

Between this and the fuckery with the Angels using an opener on Friday instead of their starter (changing my 10-0 win into a no-action "tie"), this is pretty disappointing.

Lotta guys eliminate the stress and sign up for Simpdog’s premium service.

He pinged me with a runline -150 suggestion but we went with the alternate line.

Tell them this didn’t happen Simp.

Even though the game was free I don’t think either of us watched a pitch. No need.

My only complaint is he always waits til THE last second. I missed the MMA...

Well, good win on that one.

Actually I wouldn't have gone with -2.5 today because this Yamamoto guy for the Marlins has actually been pretty good so far, and the Dodgers bats have been inconsistent lately. I wouldn't trust a Sunday lineup to win by 3 against a decent pitcher.

On the plus side, it's not surprising that Buehler crushed them, since he's been a bit inconsistent himself lately, and the Marlins provide the type of fail lineup to where he can really bear down and get a nice outing under his belt.

Any time you make a pick and get an even-money type win out of it, it's hard for anyone to criticize you.

    Yamomoto was due for regression.

Simp and I did chat briefly and I argued a coin flip @ +100 that Yamamoto returns to earth was a good bet.

There has never been any sign since AAU Yamo was one of THOSE guys.

Do you recollect Paddock “hotter than the sun” coming into face the Dodgers for the first time? Paddock got WRECKED. I thought he wouldn’t recover from that game.

The Dodgers actually do run some good scouting on new faces.

Funny thing is that series with the Marlins was kinda ugly. First game Dodgers couldn't score and barely escaped via a 2-1 win. Second they blew a 6-0 lead but Mat Beaty did his heroics again and they won 10-6. This was the only decisive game where they crushed the Marlins.

Yet they still swept the series.

Dodgers are 16 games ahead now. Rest of season is going to be on cruise control until the postseason.

10 days left to make a move to improve that bullpen. They should also bite the bullet on Will Smith. Promote him, demote Barnes or release Russell Martin. The catcher position has been dreadful this year. Other than that, I think they're set for the postseason.

I did witness some dreadful defense.

Look, you beat the dreadful Marlins. You are leading the dreadful NL West. I think you best not project this level of giddiness into the post season.

Ryu Buehler is pretty good if Ryu stays healthy. He’s no horse. Kershaw is a really good #3.

Ryu v Scherzer is prolly a loss. Strasburg v Buehler toss up. That’s how you approach things. Scherzer may get overworked regular season. That’s where the shitty NL West pays off. The Braves are an uppity outfit. You don’t know about division rivalries and scars.

It’s a battle of bullpens. This is where Dodgers lose year after year. I trust the Nats to be more aggressive.

Maeda in bullpen is really good. Kenley, meh.

This belongs in the other thread but if your euphoria over the Marlins lasts more than 4 hours see a doctor

Sanlmar is Knish and he still took -2.5. Crazy guy. I was on -1.5 -150.

We both made out the same + a unit. Doesn't matter if it's -150 or +100 when you win......

Kid does have good stuff. But he was facing a potent lineup

    FUCK YEAH!!

timely post as I was just coming here to ask you a question...what do you think of Stanford steve on ESPN as a college football sharp? he hit something ungodly like 67% ATS last year...was thinking about tailing him this year, obviously not expecting that hit rate but he seems sharp enough that I wouldn't get totally fucked by following him and might make a few bucks in the process...

Washington game rained out, so no action.

    Here's a replacement pick:

San Francisco (S. Anderson) +103 vs. Cubs (Mills) (-105 or better ok)

    Anderson will pitch better tonight.

So I have another heavy favorite, Astros -273 1st 5 etc etc

Rick Armstrong , son of Neil Armstrong, is in the booth during the 3rd inning. The inning goes on forever as the Astros score 7 runs.

I was riveted by the stories he told. He just went on and on.

During the Rick Armstrong inning the 11th batter scored the 11th run for the Apollo 11 kid.

But all that pales compared to the $.

Down 4-2 on your bet in the 8th?

    Don't Panik!

Joe Panik goes 3-for-4, including the go-ahead double, in a 3-run 8th and the hot Giants edge the Cubs 5-4.

Payback for getting fucked 2 games in a row prior to this.

I thought we were on our way to a turnaround.

10 games last night and zero unders

What are the Giants going to do? They are something like 16 of 19.

They still selling? Hw much do their fans hate the Dodgers? Enough to sacrifice a little future?

Farhan Zaidi was the smarter Dodgers nerd. But he was kind of fun and the fans may put a contract out on him.

    Fun
