    So tilting watching these.

Both games have had opportunities to win for me, and neither are getting there.

Right now it's happening again... 4-2 Braves in top of 9th, bases loaded, 2 out. They can clinch a win for me with a clean single. Matt Olson up

Of course he gets out, and we go to the bottom of the 9th.

Pirates also blew bases loaded down 5-4 against the Cards in the 5th and have been blanked since. Still 5-4.

I think I'm going to narrowly lose both.

Kenley Jansen starts to choke with 2 outs. Walk, infield single... then he gives up a double to Cooper and freaking Chisholm can't score.

    4-3 Braves.

Just get the freaking run home and I've got the over. Now it's 0-2 to Soler. What a fail.

Edit: And I lose. Can't get any closer.

Lost 'em both by 1 run. Annoying.

Great day for plops, though. Almost all the favorites won.

    Two games

NY Mets (D. Peterson) +128 at San Francisco (Cobb)
Giants looked pretty bad, getting swept by the Padres while at home, and have lost 4 straight. Alex Cobb has not been good this year, even if you take away his bombing last time out at Coors. David Peterson has been surprisingly good for the Mets, but they demoted him anyway on May 3. He's back today, and while he hasn't exactly torn up the minors in his 3 starts there, I like him better than Cobb here. Mets are at full strength minus McCann, Giants missing Belt and LaMonte Wade. Moderate 7-10 mph wind blowing out. Both pitchers have issues with the HR ball, but Cobb is worse with that.

Cubs (Smyly) -124 at Cincinnati (V. Guitterez)
Reds are actually 9-9 in last 18 (!!), but this one doesn't look good. Guitterez has been awful in every start, and has an ERA near 9. Smyly has been very reliable, giving 4-6 innings per start and allowing around 3 runs.

Mets just played 3 games in 2 days at Coors. There is a well accepted phenomenon where teams that leave Coors lose the next game.

Not lovin the Mets bullpen freshness. Quite the weekend. Mets Peterson is ace-like until his inevitable blow up inning. It will come. Then it’s the bullpen which we mentioned.

I actually did take the Giants and I’m not loving it a whole lot but I am getting value from the Mets people in this poor Mets spot.

Corn on the Cobb is just a guy.

We will see. Gigantes -135 full game

I wish I could get under 8 in the TOR/STL game. Do you know a guy?

And I can tell you with certainty the one $500 ticket he posted was just the tip of the iceberg. He likely had thousands in it in total to win millions.

Hedging is a leak in my game. I struggle with it. I’m better at resisting that temptation this year. I know it costs me money long term.

The story gives you insight into the enormity of Rufus’ action and bankroll.

Rufus has a brother? Gil just tosses that out there at the end.

Cubs game went exactly as predicted so far. Smyly went his normal 5+ and gave up his normal 3. Amazing how predictable he's been.

Guitterez gave up his usual one-run-per-inning, coughing up 4 in 4.

Cubs up 7-4 in the 9th.

On a side note, Dodgers having a very nice day, up 10-0. They almost won 8 in a row, but Muncy fucked up badly and allowed 2 runs to score last night on a walkoff error. I guess they are taking out their anger on Washington.

Can someone explain these daily NBA playoff blowouts? I gaze in wonder every night meaning to ask.

Is just a question of which team is hot shooting 3’s and who is not? It never used to be like this.

If I bet these playoffs would never simply bet the spread - I’d be laddering the hell out of these games.

They empty netter that netted me +180 healed a stupid over 6. I had this vision of Florida playing crazy wide open offense in season ending desperation. It was based entirely on fantasy as Florida scored next to nothing all playoffs.

I’m getting in the way of myself with NHL. Need to shut my brain off and bet. Thinking isn’t my strength.

Haven't had the best start to this MLB season, but boy did these come out like I wrote them up.

On a side note, I'm gonna have a real hard time passing on Mets +128 dogs unless they're facing an ace pitcher.

Rufus has a brother? Gil just tosses that out there at the end.

My understanding is he does and he plays the most important role in his operation. As I’ve said 100 times the problem when you playing at the level of Rufus isn’t picking the winners it’s finding the action. Rufus built the models and is the data/value guy. His brother runs the infrastructure that allows them to get action down.

I’ll have to find the video but his brother did an interview one day about how a typical week works. They have numbers as soon as the tournament ends on Sunday. Monday night into Tuesday when bookmaker.ag opens up they start firing in tournament bets to win 50K each. Then they turn to the locals/PPH and fire on those using a network of people across the globe. They arent just getting Vegas and Cost Rica they are hitting Bobby the bookie from the bowling alley too.

They not only hit tournament bets but matchups as well. You heard him say not winning Mito hurt but they nailed the matchups and had a great week anyway.

If you know what you are looking for sometimes you can tail these guys. Last year they made Bryson closer to 7-1 to win a tournament. He opened at 30-1 (the one where he lost to Cantlay last august in 6 playoff holes). He got dropped on bookmaker and they bet the shit out of it and the lines crashed. He was 10-1 at bookmaker come Tuesday morning but many of the locals were still hanging +2600 (because they always hang a line 10% worse) all day becuase they don’t refresh lines until overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. We had him in here…… sad it didn’t pan out.

Will the Giants lose again? Maybe.

I meant to bet this earlier but was busy.

It just fell from +106 to +101, but I still like the Mets here. Chris Bassitt is the most underrated pitcher in baseball. He's been great since 2020, but gets little credit.

He had one mediocre outing this season -- last time against the Cardinals, but he should bounce back here. Logan Webb has been disappointing thus far. Giants are scuffling.

NY Mets (Bassitt) +101 at San Francisco (Webb)

    Starting at 3:40 PT:

Miami (Poteet) at Tampa (Rasmussen) - Under 7 -113

Yesterday's Giants/Mets game was crazy. Mets down 8-2 after 6. They came up with 2 in the 7th, 7 in the 8th, and were up 11-8. Do I win? Nope. Joc hits his 3rd HR, to tie it 11-11. Mets get up 12-11 in the 9th. Do I win? Nope. Giants score 2 in the 9th to walk it off.

Well, I hope you missed this one. I thought Cody Poteet would go 4 innings or so, and allow 1 run. His ERA was 0.78 coming into this one. Nope. TB just hit him for 5 in the 1st inning.

Which isn't what you want to see when you have under 7.
