I never watched Fresh Prince. I have serious gaps in my pop culture movies & television. The other night, following my Celtics Lakers loss, TBS (I think) showed “I Am Legend” with Will Smith. I don’t think I ever even saw a trailer. I saw the first half hour. I thought it was pretty good. Loved the interaction with dog. Great writing tool. You knew the dog was gonna end up in jeopardy. 2007.

I’ve seen some trailers for “King Richard” and the shuffling Stepin Fetchit portrayal by Will Smith of the father was just fucking awful. C’mon.

I’m not a fan of Serena Williams. It’s likely just an attitude I adopted to get me to fade the favorite. I call her the “Dump Truck”. Big fat jiggling mom body.

I didn’t know there was a third Williams sister that was murdered. I think I am interested in the family’s story now. Not sure if I want Will Smith to tell it to me. We will see. I can wait 14 years like I did “Legend”.

I think it was a half sister. I remember it was actually a fairly big story, but maybe it was moreso here than the rest of the country because it was local. Like when Dwayne Wade's sister was killed, I remember there was even some zeitgeist within the establishment and media about maybe addressing the epidemic of black on black crime. But those days are far in the rear view mirror, and the establishment doesn't even acknowledge that black people commit crime anymore.

The one pick I did make -- Brooklyn over -- had a weak first half, but it's back it much better shape after 44 points in the first 6:40 of the 3rd quarter.

These two high scoring teams put up 29 points in the first 10 minutes of the 4th, and I'm almost surely fucked. OT is the only way out of this, barring some fouling points. Right now it's a 5-point game, so neither is all that likely.
