option A: my circa 2000 rear glass shattered from age/heat at 10:30 AM

its worth noting that a high velocity round can create a very small, neat hole because very little energy is dispersed/displaced into the glass by the time it passes through, especially if its a fmj round. same story with human bodies btw, which is why we had to redesign .223 rounds in vietnam to be lower fps.
