She's never recovered since taking heat about "Die Young" being about Sandy Hook, even though she didn't write it, and said over and over that she was forced to sing it. Mind you the song came out BEFORE Sandy Hook. I don't think she ever did anything after that. Kesha was always known for writing her own songs before that.

Kesha keeps losing in court. She tried to amend her lawsuit to prove breach of contract, and the judge rejected it.
Here's the funniest passage:
The amended suit also argued that Dr. Luke broke the "good faith" assumption in all contracts through his years of alleged abuse and his alleged failure to help Kesha release her third album.
Judge Kornreich shut down the unpaid royalties argument, however, noting that a witness for Dr. Luke had provided an accounting statement that showed Kesha actually owed the producer $1.3 million in royalties.
Last year, she also tried to claim that Dr. Luke committed a hate crime against her (huh?), and that was also shut down.

The cliffs are essentially what you guys suspected 8-9 years ago. Kesha wanted out of her contract with Dr. Luke, so she and her mom made up a bunch of BS allegations of rape and other stuff. It does seem that and Luke banged when she was 18, but it was when both were drunk/high, and there is not a shred of evidence that any rape happened.
The LA Times basically tore Kesha apart while presenting the article as a neutral breakdown of the situation. But I think they are correct and they cite their sources.
One interesting thing I learned was that Kesha's mom, Pebe Sebert, wrote a #1 country song in 1978, sung by Dolly Parton. It was called, "Old Flames Can't Hold a Candle to You". She did not continue songwriting because she became a drug addict, and nobody wanted to hire her. Since then she has been pining for the good old days, and it seems that she was a driving force behind the lawsuit, hoping to pressure Luke into getting her a writing gig again! Even with Luke's influence, this was not likely, because she wrote one hit in the late 70s, and was in her late 50s when all this started.
Something else I learned was that Lady Gaga was duped into believing that Kesha was an actual rape victim, and was one of the driving forces behind public sentiment turning against Dr. Luke. Lady Gaga was raped herself before she was famous, so she was the perfect mark here.
The lawsuit is now over without any real resolution. However, both careers are ruined. Lady Gaga and a few others successfully branded Dr. Luke as toxic, and nobody wants to hire him to produce anymore, even though he has a real knack for churning out hits. At the same time, many quietly believe Kesha is full of shit and might turn on the next label which signs her, so she is also considered toxic.
In short it looks like Kesha and her mom are awful people, and Luke's career was unjustifiably ruined. Read the article I linked at the top of this post if you have like 20 mins to spare.
