WTF I hit return and this posted before I was finished..Anyway -

So I accidentally left my wallet in a lyft car last night. After some effort to track down the driver, I was able to get in touch with him and he found the wallet and was even kind enough to deliver it back to me.

What's the play -

Give him all the cash in the wallet (up to 50 bucks?)

Thank him sincerely, give him no money and bank one with the karma gods

May as well give him the cash. If you had a license in the wallet, how much would it have cost to get a dupe? In MA, it's $25, so it's worth at least that much.

Awkward spot. How do you go about offering the money that he will accept? Could be insulting to the guy that did you a good turn. You would feel like a shit head if you didn't offer something.

I was happy to give the guy the money as it would have been a huge hassle for me to replace everything in the wallet, which contained all of my shit (weed rec card, SD residents card, DL, visa's, etc) plus my girlfriends visa and driver's license that night.

Not only did the lyft driver find the wallet and keep someone else from snagging it but he also delivered it to me the next day, fully intact, which was huge.

I made thread because I thought that giving him the cash was a no brainer but I was really curious if Druff agreed and what his rationale would be for this instance.
