Don't bother collecting all the Monopoly pieces for the McDonald's game. Just look for these rare pieces. The others are easy to obtain, or even if you can't, they can be had cheaply (less than $20 each) on eBay.

Keep in mind that winning any of these prizes (even the smallest one) is HIGHLY unlikely. You are likely to win some little instant food prizes (such as a McFlurry) at various points, though.

Yes, the Boardwalk prize isn't hard to win because it's incredibly easy to get the other piece (Park Place).

Nobody would ever sell Boardwalk on eBay for the same reason.

The tough ones are the Albertson's Monopoly prizes, as they often require two rare pieces to win.

Back in the day I know someone who "aquired" two cases of Lg French Fries boxes. Must have been 10K boxes. He spent an entire afternoon opening all all the pieces. In the end he had an unbelievable amount of free food to the point where he handed it out to all the freinds in the neighborhood and we still couldn't use them all over the course of a month. As for "real" prizes for all his efforts and the kickback to the guy on the inside.... $100 in Rebock sneakers and $25 in cash.

I've never played, but I would think the rules would say some shit about the game pieces being non-transferable, in which case you'd never hear about ebay purchases unless a winner was being stripped of a prize. Just a guess, tho.

I don't eat at McDonald's much except for the occasional breakfast. Anyway, the other day those fries were sounding hella good so the wife and I say fuck it let's go. We order 2 fries, a big Mac, some kind of chicken sandwich and a drink. We pull up to the window and the guy says that will be $17.02. What the fuck! Since when does it cost nearly $20 for two people to eat at McDonald's? If they raise the min wage here in California to $13 an hour I can't imagine what it will be. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that the Monopoly game was going on so at least I had a small chance of winning something for my $17.02. So I peel one back and it's a winner, one free breakfast sandwich, sweet right? Wrong, in parentheses it says (excludes mcmuffin). Are you shitting me McDonald's?
