Blackjack Question - Am I right or out of line?

Sitting on a blackjack table at 11:30 on a Thursday night in Reno. We have had the same dealer for 30 minutes or so.

New dealer comes in for about 10 minutes, and it is time for a switch. To add to it, he had just finished taking forever to shuffle, so the new guy comes in and has to reshuffle and deals 1 HAND! New dealer comes and stands behind him before that hand is even finished. Once again, time to switch and shuffle.

At this point, I sort of lost it, and told them it was ridiculous to have 3 dealers and 3 shuffles to play 3 hands. Dealer tries to explain about someone going home and others needing breaks and him needing to get to the craps table, and then gave me some "I'm saving you money by dealing less hands" bullshit, which made me ever angrier.

At this point, I grab my chips and left but of course had to deal with the passive girlfriend getting mad at me for making a mini-scene. Was I in the right here, partially right, or completely wrong for getting angry about this?

Wrong to make a thread about this. Don't care about the rest of it.

Had something similar happen in Vegas the other day without the scene BTW. Single deck BJ @ Casino Royale & we're getting 2 orbits out of each shuffle when the dealer has just finished shuffling when security shows up to do a tray count. The dealer starts shuffling again & I laugh & tell him he just shuffled but don't object because I had done the cut & last time I did the table did shitty. We all had a laugh & after refusing the cut & telling a new guy to do it, a new dealer shows up &, of course, he has to shuffle again before dealing a hand.

We all laugh again at the absurdity but it worked out great because the dealer broke both hands that deck & everyone won both hands. I left shortly after.

Unfortunately that's probably the rule at the casino.

The dealer shouldn't have made the crack about you losing less money with fewer hands dealt. That was out of line.

I have found that the dealers in Reno are rude, in general.

OP, I'd have done the same thing, in fact I have.

I feel like Dealers are rude in general, its the job. I dealt 3 summers in college, its as boring as it gets.

Last time I blew up at a dealer, I'm at 1st base. This guy was foreign & was all "your playing real good"
Not like I was counting, more like he thought it was my first time at a table. Then he reaches over to stop me from shuffling my chips, I thought he was kidding. Reaches over again, tells me to stop again.
I'm still not sure if it was on his nerves or he was saying it was against the rules. But the 3rd time I just blew up in his face. "WTF is your problem., I know what I can and can't do" He was shocked, the whole table was, as I was calm, chatting up the table until this Dealer took over.
I'm like cash these out, I'm not playing one more hand here. This drunk old lady at 3rd starts mumbling shit like I should shut up.
"Why don't you not F'ing worry about it"

The time before that, this like college student guy takes over, trying to liven up the table.
I get a blackjack, "you want to double down, did you know you can?" again, I thought he was kidding.
Same thing happens again, and again, every single BJ no matter who got it, they had to say no to a double down 1-3 times.
Then he also thought you shouldn't bust no matter what, so if you hit a 14 vs a T, and busted, he'd make a scene. "uh oh, we have a hitter"
I just blew up at him too. He just sees a lot of people lose the way I play.
(So asinine when people think because the book isn't 100 % percent right, you should go opposite it.).

FTR didn't talk to one pitt boss although I know they saw, just changed tables both times.

Their is only so much you can tolerate and the casino shouldn't make it so difficult aka non-player friendly when they have a good edge to take your money.

As for the girlfriend getting mad well many times they just don't understand when it comes to any type of BJ.

out of line? nah, manners have little place in a casino imho...i believe everyone working in a hotel/casino has contempt for the patrons--its just a matter of how much they hide their disdain; the hiding is positively correlated to how big a moneyloser/tipper you are.
