What if I told you ... Mobster Henry Hill, made infamous in the movie "Goodfellas," helped fix college basketball games.

Goodfellas is god. If you hold Goodfellas with the reverence it deserves this is required viewing. I gotta figure everyone has seen Goodfellas at least 10x. You can cut out 60 minutes for this.

I knew about the BC point shaving story as a long time Boston College hater. (Sorry, sixtoe.) I did not know the scandal was just a vehicle to nail the JFK Lufthansa theft perps. I had no idea how married BC point shaving was to the whole Goodfellas story.

It’s hard to think of a more colorful sports documentary topic than “Playing for the Mob,” the latest gem presented under ESPN’s “30 for 30” banner, which feels like a movie — largely because it’s already been one. Narrated by Ray Liotta, the film chronicles the Boston College point-shaving scandal in the late 1970s, orchestrated by none other than Henry Hill, Liotta’s “Goodfellas” character, and his various associates.

If you haven't read the book "Wiseguy" you should. The book has more time to explain things like Henry in the army and the BC pt shaving.

Saw the 30 for 30 and I loved it. I can't get enough.

I watched it the other night too and thought it was a good watch. Their have been better ones on point shaving but it was still enjoyable for me.
